'Poison' of anti-Semitism has taken root in UK's Labour - Chief Rabbi

I have said this before and will say it again.

Where is the evidence for antisemitism in the Labour party?

I see plenty of accusations but no-one ever provides evidence.

The same thing applies to accusations of anti muslim sentiment within the conservative party.

OK Rookiescot, can you explain why Luciana Berger and 8 other Labour MPs all quit the Labour Party in February 2019?

Quote

In February 2019, nine MPs quit Labour, many of them citing the leadership's handling of anti-Semitism as their reason for leaving.

Ms Berger, who had a police escort at the 2018 Labour Party conference, said she had come to the "sickening conclusion" that the party had become institutionally anti-Semitic and that she was "embarrassed and ashamed" to stay.

Ms Berger's supporters, including deputy leader Tom Watson, claimed she has been "bullied out of her own party by racist thugs".

Among the other defectors, Joan Ryan claimed the party had "become infected with the scourge of anti-Jewish racism" while Ian Austin blamed Mr Corbyn for "creating a culture of extremism and intolerance"

Well, can you explain that away?

  • Is there anything wrong with that? someone has to speak up for the poor bastards.

  • When members or devotees of the Labour Party cannot or will not admit that the Labour Party has antisemetic problems, they become part of the problem.

I agree.   But don’t kid yourself, Israel and the pro-Israel lobby within the UK would rather the UK does not have a PM with a record of campaigning for Palestinian rights.

Let’s see your evidence that I made that claim.

Pure hyperbole.

You said earlier in this thread "But don’t kid yourself, Israel and the pro-Israel lobby within the UK would rather the UK does not have a PM with a record of campaigning for Palestinian rights."

What were you implying that the "Israel and the pro-israel lobby within the UK" were doing? Presumably campaigning against Corbyn, since (according to you) "Israel would rather the UK does not have a PM with a record of campaigning for Palestinian rights."

You are clever enough not to make direct accusations, but it is clear what you are implying.

By all means dispute the statement but please do not attribute to me any statement that I have not made.

This is about Corbyn's support for the Palestinian cause and BDS....nothing more. He sees, as I do, an apartheid regime, treating no-Jewish people in a racist manner while stealing their land. It is high time Israel was brought to heel like South Africa was by boycotts, divestment and sanction plus exclusions from international events. If Hamas saw real action from the West, instead of platitudes and favoritism, then there would be no reason or justification for terrorism.

Sounds like you just justified terrorism. Interesting.

Although i've been in Thailand for some years now I still keep myself informed. I'm a fully paid-up Labour member.

The amount of anti-Jewish occurrences in my time I could count on one hand.

That was years ago, times change, and so has the labour party with Corbyn

Stacks of evidence, the Panorama documentary is the best, and that was the BBC!

Ahhh. Jeremy Corbyn. The best leader the Tories ever had.

Because she was Director of Labour Friends of Israel, and Corbyn has vowed to recognize the state of Palestine and to halt sales of arms to Israel that are used against Palestinians.

She is putting loyalty to a foreign country ahead of the interests of her own party and country.

Total hogwash. All the old chestnuts that have been drip fed by pro Zionist media every few months since Corbyn became leader in an attempt to maintain a smear campaign, because of course if he became PM  it would be an end to the cosy arrangement Conservative leaders have had with Israel. All "allegations" have been debunked on this forum.

Suggest you view John Pullman's video "The Witch Hunt" which deals with the phoney accusations.

This is the basis of the Jew hate conspiracy myth. That Jews are a sneaky, deceitful, powerful group who cannot be trusted and are up to no good.

That the 'Zionist' media is controlled by evil Jews, who manipulate the public to their evil ends.

That poor Corbyn is a victim of an evil Jew Zionist plot.

That their claims of an explosion in antisemitism, aren't real but more of their sinister, underhanded, evil Zionist ways.

So British Jews aren't normal, decent citizens with valid complaints about racism, but are all in a conspiracy against Britain.

>She is putting loyalty to a foreign country ahead of the interests of her own party and country.

This is the dual loyalty myth, that Jews cannot be trusted, and are not normal human beings but lie and cheat for their evil Zionist plans.

Suggest you view Mein Kampf, or any other racist material, which repeats the myth of sinister Zionist influence. Much admired by people who believe this garbage.

So everyone from the Chief Rabbi, to all the MPs, journalists, celebrities, and ordinary Jews are not decent people with a valid point to make, but part of a malicious group.

Suggest you view Mein Kampf, or any documentary abut Hitler, which documents these accusations.

More hyperbole.

None of these ‘basis’ you refer to are reflected in the comments here or in Labour’s response to the accusations being made.

Calm down and deal with the reality outside of your emotions.

I saw a couple of times accusations that Labor politicians are anti-Semites.

But for whatever reason I never saw what these politicians are supposed to have done?

Is it so bad that it can't be repeated?

Or is it so harmless that nobody else noticed?

Where are a couple of samples what they have done? I would really like to make up my mind according to facts.

Whatever it is it is significant enough to warrant an expedited plan to expel guilty members and prompt an education program from within the party leadership.

No hyperbole.

All these 'basis' I refer to have been reflected in the comments here and Labour's response to the accusations being made.

The accusation that the media is Zionist and has been drip feeding the British public with Jew propaganda is a basic Jew hate myth, that the media is Jew owned.

That Jews do not have genuine concern but are simply trying to remove someone who criticises Israel - i.e. that they are deceitful powerful and cannot be trusted.

That Jewish MPs who resigned or talked of racism are actually lying, manipulative Jews who are actually just protecting Israel.

You need to 'calm down and deal with the reality beyond your emotions'

I have been very specific in the accusations made about Jews here, and how they fit with the caricature of the sinister Jew up to no good.

England has historically been antisemitic. The fact that it's entrenched in the Labour Party is no big surprise. Sad choice, vote for dried dog shhiitt (Labour) or dog diarrhea (Boris).

You don't seem to understand the difference between:
Jew = someone who was born Jewish or follows the faith of Judaism
Zionist = someone who believes in the racist supremacist ideology that one group should have preferential treatment in Palestine over the indigenous inhabitants based purely on religion/ethnicity.

Not all Jews are Zionists, and not all Zionists are Jews. The main US supporters of Zionism are Evangelical Christians.

I completely abhor anti-Semitism, like all racist bigotry, the blind irrational hatred of someone simply because they were born that way or choose to follow that faith.

But I completely support anti-Zionism, as I do all organisations opposed to fascism and racism.

As does Jeremy Corbyn who has spent his entire life fighting racism and anti Semitism.

He has been targeted by a hyped up smear campaign orchestrated by Zionists including the OP Rabbi simply because of his opposition to the current right wing government of Israel and their brutal treatment of indigenous Palestinians.

Of course there must be pockets of real anti-Semites in Labor as there are in any large organisation, but it appears to be minuscule. The disproportionate focus on the Labor Party and its leader belies other motives at work.

“Antisemitism complaints account for about 0.1% of the Labour party membership, while polls show antisemitism is more prevalent among Conservative than Labour supporters. In the past week it’s been revealed Conservative candidates said events in the Holocaust were ‘fabricated’ and called British Jews ‘extremists’.”

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/25/labour-has-let-poison-of-antisemitism-take-root-says-chief-rabbi?

Besides your fevered hyperbole and conspiracy theories, you misquote me: I did not say the Zionist media [with the definite article], I said "pro Zionist media" the generic usage  meaning some pro Zionist media. It is well known that media such as the Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, Fox News consistently adopt a right wing pro Zionist stance.

You’ve thrown out a rash of very specific accusations without providing any examples of how they are present in this thread or in the Labour Party’s response to the accusations made against it.

What you have not done is provided a single example of how the accusations you yourself make are substantiated.

If you deconstruct the language of this pro Conservative and Zionist tabloid, it is dripping with biased over the top prose. Frontbenchers "lining up", "vile abuse of Jews" "catastrophic""fresh fury" ...his faux fury is only fresh because the Chief Rabbi chose this particular moment to repeat his fake nonsense in an attempt to influence British voters on behalf of a foreign power. I doubt Corbyn has a chance of becoming PM but better put the boot in just in case.

Jeremy Corbyn refused to apologize because he is not an anti-Semite and he has nothing to apologize for. Like asking someone  "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

From the article it appears Corbyn's main back stabber was Nia Griffith, a member of Labour Friends of Israel which receives funding from the Israeli government (see Al Jazeera's "The Lobby") and she supported rival Owen Smith, another Labour Friend of Israel, in a failed attempt to repace Corbyn in 2016 Labour Party leadership election. Sour grapes internal wrangling in the Labour Party.

I gave specific clear and detailed examples of racism quoting people on this thread.

Specifically the idea that the media is controlled by Jews and puts out Zionist propaganda that deceives the country, that Jews deceive the country by pretending they are upset about anti-semitism when they are just trying to protect Israel, that Jews have dual loyalty pretending to me interested in fighting racism while secretly attacking those who criticize Israel and promoting the caricature of the Jew as the evil sinister secretive powerful corrupt group that works behind the scenes against the country.

I could not be more specific about the vile racist caricatures expressed by some of the Corbyn supporters on this thread.

They insinuate Jews are not honest or decent people but work as a group for deceitful and evil purpose.

You could be very much more specific simply by quoting actual comments and explaining your counter argument.

But you don’t do that.

What you do is throw out a stream of accusations and claim they fit any number of people or comments that you do not specifically identify.

in other words exactly the same mudslinging tactics as the OP Chief Rabbi..throw enough of it and hope some of it will stick.

In other words anyone with a basic level of intelligence understand how to read comments and I do not have time to cut and paste the nonsense of Jew obsessed conspiracy theorists.

Yet strangely you are incapable off doing this.
