air coolers in homepro

Featured Replies

Has anyone bought one of the floor standing air coolers in Homepro.

.Are they any use.?

Thanks ,in advance ,for any response.

hey mate,

Do you mean a portable air conditioner or air cooler ?

I have had the air con, too noisy if you are trying to sleep.... The evaporative air coolers are ok but maybe not suitable for the climate here....

Real aircon is not too expensive to run and far better ????

I've also tried one and found that the air is too humid. Best invest in a real aircon.

I have aircon. This is for a friend who rents and is paying high cost electricity.

But thanks for the input guys.

They are not any good. You can get a good one but it'll be as expensive or more expensive as a proper air conditioner.

the air coolers work great and blow cooler air in the store because they are cooling the all ready cooled and dehumidified air in Home Pro.

Yes, that's a good observation that no sales guy is going to tell you.

Yes, swamp coolers need drier air to work and AC does take some of the moisture out. Not much though. I got one cheapo lazada chinese <deleted> things that has the water pump setup, if left on while the AC is also running I think I could crank up the AC from 26 to 28 and feel about the same. Perhaps save a few satang. Can't really be arsed though.
