Immigration chief - top brass - turn out after Chinese beggar taken off the street

Thailand's immigration chief and many of his top men turned out at a press conference to announce the arrest of a group of Chinese men who came to Thailand to beg. 

 

At immigration HQ was Lt-Gen Sompong "Big Oud" Chingduang, Maj-Gen Nathaphon, Maj-Gen Pornchai, Pol Col Sathit, Pol Col Kritmongkhon and many more in the actual arrest teams. 

 

There were also a lot of vinyl boards to show how the immigration men had cleaned up Thailand in this case and others. 

 

Naew Na said that the gang of Chinese were pretending to be mute, deaf and have cancer. And that they were preying on tourists.

However, the only person who was actually taken off the streets was a 61 year old man in Prakhanong, Sukhumvit - not a tourist area at all. 

 

Tan was easy to spot when immigration arrived. He had a sign (seemingly written in Thai) that said: "Please help. My wife has leukemia and is in hospital. I need lots of money for her treatment. Please can you all help out".

 

When officers questioned him he played dumb - he started 'signing' and indicating he was a deaf mute. 

 

A Chinese language interpreter was called and it was soon ascertained that Tan had none of the handicaps he was claiming and his wife was fine. 

 

The arrest led the immigration police to a hotel room near Hualampong railway station where they found three men drinking beer. There were a lot of playing cards and a copious amount of cigarette butts. 

 

The men admitted playing up their begging money by gambling at cards getting an average of 2,500 baht a day. 

 

They were all from the Hubei area of China and would travel to places like Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam to beg. 

 

They were all charged with begging and were prepared for deportation.

Immigration hard at work cleaning up the country from bad foreigners.......vinyl boards and all. And the ones who are dumb enough to believe this stuff are being brainwashed to turn against foreigners.

At the same time, 100s of beggars from Cambodia were left alone at the steps of BTS, MRT, and shopping malls, cause 'they were brought in by Thai mafia', so 'nothing could be done', plus 'they were helping the economy'...

Do something about these western begpackers too.

I told my landlord about the Cambodia/Lao beggars parked right in front of our building everyday and he just looked at me in disbelief. I said, "No foreigner will want to rent your condos with such filth right outside on the road." He has 3 condos still empty.  But praise Thai Immigration for the good job against those evil Chinese.

Oh come in Immigration. Where is the love for these Chinese duper’s and hospital bill runners. You would think they all have good hearts. Chinese tourist good people. Expats westerners bad.

I thought Prayuth was recently begging for these quality tourists to keep coming

As  opposed to the Police who are  just plain dumb and prey on tourists

Ah! more quality tourists, I thought Ol Fatty got rid of all the Chinese tourists. 

Thailand will have more surprises with the never ending immagination of the quality Chinese criminal gangs tourists...

Never been a better time than now, to start selling vinyl boards.

 

It is very much like a Thai school. Don't actually do anything. Play some music, someone make a speech, run around with posters, hand out awards.
