Canceled Food Panda Order

Featured Replies

Last night I ordered a bucket of fried chicken from Hooters via Food Panda.  Hooters claims this is one of their signature dishes and I wanted to try it.

When you order from Food Panda, they give you a play-by-play tracking screen with updates every minute and an estimate of the time your food will arrive.  My initial estimate was about 30 minutes and the tracker said, "The restaurant has received your order".  As the clock counted down to around 15 minutes, the tracker was updated to say, "The restaurant if preparing your order".  The clock continued to count down to about 11 minutes at which time I started to prepare for the meal.

Then, abruptly, then tracker completely changed and said, "Your order has been canceled".  This notice went up 32 minutes after I had placed my order.  I contacted customer service and they were very polite, but could provide no explanation as to why my order was canceled after 32 minutes.

Needless to say, I was quite angry.  My complaint to customer service yielded only an apology, but no explanation of where the service went wrong, so I am sharing my experience with the group, I guess, to simply vent my frustration...

Can't see it being much different to a bucket of KFC !  having it delivered even means you miss out on oggling the "hooters" ????

Your mouth must have been watering, watching the countdown

to your expected delivery of the bucket of chicken, then its cancelled,!

what a let down, so did you put the kettle on and make a pot noodle.

Of the seven or eight orders I have placed more than half were cancelled so I have given up with them.

Go with Grab!

Also they seem to always have promotions going on.

There is only exactly one reason to visit Hooters. And it's not the food or the drinks. Be happy that you didn't have to taste their food.

In my experience, Food Panda pull this kind of stuff all the time.... and all you'll ever get from their worthless customer service are "sorrys" and not much else. Certainly not any explanation of why they XXXX'd the pooch.

I've had them pull the same kind of stunts to me in the past where they ended up saying the restaurant that I had ordered from via their website was actually closed -- and yet, it was still listed on their website as available for orders, both when I placed my order, and later when they claimed it was closed.

I'll have the 4th, 6th and 7th from the left with some French fries and mayo.

It seems we have a very similar taste.

Let's make a deal: you get number 6 and 7 - with or without mayo

And I take care of #4, maybe I can order some ice-cream and chocolate sauce together with her ????
