If you love people watching and watching 'characters' then all of Europe's finest male retirees are on show - including me watching them, The kind of folk you never see in Amazing Thailand TAT adverts. Warning if you watch this that's 6  minutes of your life you are never getting back.

Very busy but no-one drinking in the bars Simon complex was empty only about half a dozen bars still open and very few customers 

However what used to be Tonys across the road now seems to be an Arab or Indian disco and seemed quite busy plenty of Indian families walking up and down just looking around 

 

The annoying bit about them is that they prefer to walk in the road (not walking street) as opposed to the pavement and narrow soi's quite happy to walk 4 abreast and refuse to move to one side

We also found aside for the people we know, locals just aren't as politte as they used to be

We've only been gone 2 years and the missus is treated as if she's a farang and fare game for a ripoff

Like I have said, tourist numbers are up, on the back of cheap Chinese and Indian package holiday deals, but the money from tourism is down, way down, especially in the hospitality industry.
