A Facebook page ‘Pak Nam Pran Palang Mai’ (ปากน้ำปราณพลังใหม่) recently posted photos of green algae covering the steps of Pak Nam Pran or Pranburi estuary in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.

The algae (Ulva intestinalis) is edible and their appearance resembles a long stretch of cloudy fur. The growth is natural and will not harm the environment.
