Interior Ministry orders provinces to implement stringent measures against drunk-driving

 

   

BANGKOK (NNT) - To promote road safety during the New Year holiday period, the Ministry of Interior has instructed relevant agencies in all provinces to implement stringent measures to prevent and reduce road accidents, particularly measures against drunk-driving.

208 deaths reported halfway through 7 dangerous days

 

 

Four days of the “7 dangerous days” have so far seen 208 deaths and more than 2,000 injuries on the roads across the country, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation’s Road Safety Directing Centre announced in a press conference today (December 31).

Bank of Thailand explains sudden appreciation of Baht

Mathee Supapongse, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Thailand, said on Tuesday (December 31) that the appreciation of the Thai Baht on the evening of December 30 to below 30 to the US dollar was out of line with its economic fundamentals.
