Foreign Affairs Minister Don Pramudwinai said he hoped the tensions between the United States and Iran would not worsen in the days ahead.

He said there were 200 Thais in Iran and 90 in Iraq. There were no worries at this stage, Don said when asked about any evacuation plans.

He believed that a compromise might help ease the tensions in the Middle East.

I wonder how many westerners there are in Iran right now who are hoping things will blow over?

All of them.

I would say, right about now, any non-Muslim hanging out around Iran or Iraq is not particularly safe, despite what "Don" says.  Thais don't get any special dispensation when it comes to Muslim fanaticism...though they might be a bit better off than us western folks.

Thais are imortal? A perfect non racist race? Loved by all nations? I doubt it!

Tensions are high. Any nation that assists the USA, such as Thailand,  will be looked upon with suspicious eyes.

All are at risk who do not belong in such a highly volatile part of the world.

Get real!

Imbecile.

They should be evacuating right now.
