WASHINGTON/LONDON (Reuters) - The United States on Friday rejected a formal request from Britain for the extradition of a U.S. diplomat's wife who left the country last year after a road collision that killed 19-year-old Briton Harry Dunn.

SCB’s new joint venture to focus on digital lending

The Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has set up a joint venture with technology developer Abakus. According to SCB’s filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand on Friday (January 10), SCB holds a 60 per cent stake in the JV, Monix Co Ltd, while Abakus holds the remainder.

UTCC set to lower Thai economic, export growth projections

The University of Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) will revise downward its forecast of the country's economic growth this year from the previous prediction of 3.1 per cent, due to a number of emerging negative factors, said Thanavath Phonvichai, director of Centre of Economic and Business Forecasting on Friday (January 10).

(Reuters) - The 1968 Ford Mustang GT that Steve McQueen drove in the classic car chase from the movie "Bullitt, one of the most famed cars from American cinema, sold for $3.4 million (£2.60 million) at auction in Florida on Friday, Mecum Auctions said.

Thai media has said that Thai society was shocked by the appalling violence displayed in Thursday's gold shop robbery that left three dead and four injured. One of the dead was a two year old boy shot dead by the lone robber while out shopping with his mum.

Chonburi man in lucky escape as twin tires come off truck and smash into his pick-up
