Marriage extension question

Featured Replies

I’ve become somewhat confused having read so many contributions on here.

I have deposited 400,000 Bht in the bank for the required two months period.

Do I have to show any proof that the 400,000 Bht has come from abroad?

Also, do I need to maintain this balance during the “under consideration” period.

My immigration office is Korat.

Very grateful for any answers especially from Korat people.

There is no requirement to prove the 400k baht came from abroad for a extension of stay application.

Most offices here in Isaan are wanting it to be kept in the bank until you get your one extension stamp and are wanting a copy of your updated bank book.

Mmmm. Told it has to be an overseas transfer and a letter from your Bank is required to confirm. Also Bank book must updated 2 days prior to application (Chaiyaphum)

It is not required for an extension of stay application based upon marriage or retirement. It is not shown in any police order that it is required.

Perhaps confusion between 400k baht in the bank option and transferring at least 40k baht into a Thai bank from abroad for proof of the income

If is only needed if applying for a non immigrant (category O) visa based upon qualifying for an extension of stay based upon on retirement for the 800k baht in the bank option.
