Extend tourist visa online?

Is it possible to extend a tourist visa online or with an app? Couldn't find any info anywhere.

A Visa Exempt Entry or Tourist Visa Entry can be extended at an immigration office.

Maybe they have plans for an online service for extension of a tourist visa online? Or am I confusing it with the TM30 reporting which can be done online already now?

I don't really know what you are confusing it with. I can only say not available right now and I haven't heard rumours of it being planned.

Thanks for your answer. Now I know that I have to go to the Immigration office in Bangkok. Strange that it is so far from the city. It should be easier for us tourists to extend our tourist visa...

Yes, you should send them a strongly worded letter pointing out that you're the center of the universe.

not many tourists need to extend a 60 day entry to 90 days

Only people living in Thailand on tourist visas. Most tourists (I will take 80/20 like most things in the world) don't bother with extension. They come, they come. Thailand is nothing special for them. It is like any other country people go for vacationing.
