I saw an advert in BKK post about low (800 baht) fares to Manilla from BKK. I went to their website and tried to get some. None left, so can't advise. I am curious too about what extra you have to pay. Departure tax should be included in your ticket now.

I'm just curious- what are you paying, and from what city? I'd be interested in going the reverse direction one of these days- never flown with Cebu Pacific, though...

290 dollars rountrip, thanks for your reply give you an update and also service when I can have my trip this month.

Its not 800 because they also charge you for taxes but if you compare it with another airline it is a lot cheaper would make a difference esp when you like to travel in a cheapest way, only thing the when you depart from BKK its quiet early, but Manila-BKK 10:45pm.

I flew Cebu Pacific for 7730 baht RT Bkk-Manila last month. Tkt was purchased online in Thailand. The flight from Manila was an hour late, so we didn't get off until 2:30 am. The return flight was two hours late getting into Bkk. I sure felt sorry for the folks waiting to board on the other side of the glass wall at 3:30 am... they wouldn't reach Manila until 7:30 am.

I didn't realize so much comfort could be stripped out of an A-320. The back of the seat was cardboard-thin, with a lot of sharp iron corners in evidence. I could have been sitting in a no-frills jet fighter. The onboard prices of beer, sandwiches, etc, were on a par with many fast-food places in PI and at the airport. A free juicebox is handed out.

My TW asked for perfume as a gift, so I priced several expensive brands at both King Power on the outbound Bkk side, and at the duty-free area in Manila. Manila was the cheapest by far, with prices similar to those of a few years ago. King Power should be ashamed of themselves...

The Manila security is dead serious about putting liquor and liquids in your checked luggage. I carried a few plastic bottles of water through in my handbag, which they saw right away on the Xray. In the confusion of arguing with my buddy behind me about his bottle of liquor, they forgot about me and my water. (He had to retrace his steps to the check-in counter to check his hand luggage.)

Would I fly with them again? The unpleasant 3-hr flight and delays were overcome by the difference in fares with TG. Just don't change your flight dates after purchasing the ticket, because the penalties are a large percentage of the fare...

Yes, I had posted earlier also on the efficiency of their check-in counters at Bkk. That particular night took awhile to check in, because the agents were taking each e-ticket over to a manager for approval, but that was the only holdup.

Things were very organized in Manila, with a little temporary station a bit removed from the main counter to check documents, warn about liquids in carry-on's, etc. Check-in opened up around 8 pm as I recall, with no long lines. In fact, both flights RT were well underbooked, with lots of free seats.

Don't try to cut the time too close for check-in. Allow enough for paying the exit tax, security, etc. BTW I believe the tax is more for Philippine nationals, and to be paid at a desk close to the entrance doors...

In Thailand there is a policy of closing the check-in counter 30-45-60 min's before departure (depends on the airline). Sorry that I don't recall if Cebu Pacific has such a policy in Manila -- call them.

Can you tell me pls how many hrs should I arrived at Manila airport???? foe my check in, thanks

I flew cebu pacific last March and as what Cebu Pacific told me I should check in 3 hrs before the flight and so I did.The flight is 10:30PM so I arrive in the airport around 7:30 paid the Travel tax PHP1620 and let them check my bags and check in.After that paid the the boarding fee of PHP750 and proceed on the immigration line. After this my bags are being check again and asked me to remove my jewelry, watch, shoes, and when it's ok I got my things back and proceed to Gate 7 until boarding. This is my first time to fly with cebu pacific for international and I never thought that the plane is just like the one they are using in their domestic flights. The seats are small I think 3 for each side, no food just got free bottle of juice. If you're hungry can buy food starting from USD1.I think that's is why this is they are the cheapest.I flew in Kuwait air before and paid USD400 RT for Cebu it just cost me USD200-250 depends on how early you book online. In Bangkok you can call Their agent I think Nancy aviation and ask for promo rates. This is according to a friend who just recently got a RT worth THB4000.But make sure that you will not change the flight sched or they will charge you a lot including some penalties.

Hope this helps.
