Only 1 million arrived? no need to worry then, with  1% infection rate thats only   10,000 infections, no worries

And a 2% death rate so that's 200 elderly souls who meet their maker a week early.

Ready. steady, Oh we haven't started yet.

I think the latest news informed us that 9 Thais had been infected so far. It is a matter of time when farangs will be having.

Agreed. So far. The article was talking about those who came in earlier in January. Mostly now gone home and the rest are beyond their incubation date.

There are currently more than 100,000 Chinese tourists and long-stayers in Thailand, including 2,038 who came from the Chinese city of Wuhan, the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak, and 91,688 from Guangzhou, which is close to Wuhan,

How does that song go again: "there could be trouble ahead"

Chinese tourists will continue to be welcomed to the LOS & we all know why. Let's just hope that soon all tourists from Wuhan will be back where they belong for the time being. It took 6 months for SARS to blow over.

And this will last for at least the same time. It seems that Thailand is a hole through which possibly infected Chinese can get away from China. The extent of Thai venality may mean TL becomes a major source. I hope Prayuth and Co are prepared for that because if things go the way they could go, the blowback will be significant, and could be terminal for this government. No matter who their sponsors are, they will not be happy at all to remain as such if gross incompetence is generally recognised.

They dilly dailies too long in enforcing the ALLforeigners get a Trackable SIMCHIP. .. SthAustralian police are currently actively tracking specific Chinese 'tourists' movements here.

 - it is too late to worry about privacy.

They should implement TM 28 in South OZ then.

but they don't need it - when they can simply track, on the go, the mobile phone whereabouts of unknowing tourist

100,000 too many and they should stop a single person further from coming.  If we end up with a major outbreak in Thailand it will be the fault of the Brainless Nerks in Government House and i just hope they are the first to be contaminated !

It won't be they're fault and they won't be the first to get it. The ones making the decisions and the ones above them are in their purified air sealed rooms not worrying about the people just their money. Now if we can change the oxygen to carbon monoxide things will get better soon

Some of the posters would have made great Nazis. Exchange Jews for Chinese and the bigotry and hatred is the same. Sick minded people. Simple minded people.

they may yet still be forced to relinquish their Spratley islands military expansion dreams... and turn them all into Isolation camps for their CV sick; the ones that managed to survive just long enough to return home from their so called tourist holidays

About that, one can imagine that these Chinese cars have come to Thailand after crossing either through Burma or Laos.

Isn't it fantastic that these two countries, sharing long borders and exchanges with China, have reported zero case of coronavirus?

how many thais and farang did they infect during their stay in the land of smirk?

I repeat, silent incubation from 1 to 14 days ...

But other than that, everything is under 1000% control  :annoyed:

And now they know, from the first patient in the US, that people are infectious for a long time after they are clear of the symptoms.

You do realise the drop in tourism was not due to the virus, right?

Because they bring money and eighty percent farangs come to find  prostitute brides for a marriage visas to live here permanently as they could neither find a bride in their home country nor could they live in their home country with their meager income.
