The Thailand Meteorological Department said on Thursday (February 13) that the westerly trough is moving through the North to the Northeast and Laos while the high-pressure system across the Northeast and the South China Sea will remain weak.

The weather will be cool to cold in the North with a decrease in temperatures by 1-3°C. The Northeast has an increase in temperatures, morning fog, and possible isolated light rain while the Central and the East regions will see thundershowers in some areas.

The weakening easterly winds across the Gulf bring less rains in the South and weak wind waves in the Gulf. From Nakhon Si Thammarat downward, waves are about 2 metres high and above 2 metres during thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:

Northern region: Cool to cold weather; temperature lows of 10-22°C and highs of 34-37 °C. Temperature is likely to drop to 3-12°C on hilltops.

Northeastern region: Cool weather with fog in the morning and isolated rains, temperature lows of 21-24°C and highs of 34-37°C. Temperature likely to drop to 9-15°C on hilltops.

Central region: Mostly cloudy with fog in the morning; temperature lows of 23-25°C, highs of 35-38°C.

Eastern region: Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 10 per cent of the area; lows of 22-26°C, highs of 32-37°C; waves 1-2 metres high.

Southern region (east coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 30 per cent of the area; lows of 23-25°C., highs of 29-35°C; waves 2-3 metres high.

Southern region (west coast): Mostly cloudy with thundershowers in 10 per cent of the area; lows 23-26°C, highs of 34-37°C.; waves 1-2 metres high.

Bangkok and surrounding areas: Mostly cloudy with fog in the morning; lows of 24-26°C, highs of 35-37°C.

Blaady roasting here again in Patters....:whistling:

Unusual for down there, least it never gets humid :whistling:

Completely different weather pattern up in the sticks, humidity is ~20% lower, been cool here for over three months now, usually a lot hotter than it is by now, temps are getting higher in the afternoons but they don't last very long, another month or so when the sun approaches its zenith it gets miserably hot, long hot days and the nights not that much cooler! ????

Yes, the North is still experiencing cool temperatures at night, however they will be increasing gradualy from day to day, but still in the cool category. Summer is already in the Central part of Thailand with winds from The Bay that clear the air pollution. The North is going to experience worse air from now on until the South West monsoon will kick in.
