New Passport number Query Booking and D Licences

Hi 

Not sure if corrrect forum kindly move if necessary

 

Will travel overseas on valid EU passport ,by time I return in Summer it will expire 

 

I will have newly issued passport with a different number.Will have old one with Thai visa to show no onward needed.

 

Question 1 Anyone recommend an airline or agent that doesn't require return passport number in advance or allows free change of passport number, some will not permit others seem to want large fees.

I will have both new and old to hand. I realize I can call all of half a dozen potential carriers but local advice helpful.I cannot be first in this position.

My alternative is buy 2 singles which allows me to make first booking now, but same issue for return as I'll wish to return almost as soon as passport issued.

 

Question 2 

Will I need to replace recently issued Thai car and bike licences which are valid to 2568 in five years but have of course my existing passport number

I've now contacted airline and can add a replacement passport.

 

Any advice on whether my Thai drivers license still valid with old passport number?
