webfact Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Thailand road carnage: Motorcyclists in lucky escape, but others not so fortunate Thai caption: Two bikes cheat death Dash cam footage from a pick-up waiting at a red light at the Sa Khwan intersection in Sa Kaeo province showed a truck plow through the red light on the opposite side of the road. The truck - carrying waste from a sugar factory - collided with another truck moving on the green light before smashing into several other vehicles. Two motorcyclists crossing the intersection avoided death by fractions while another rider waiting at the lights managed to jump off before his vehicle was crushed. The sugar factory truck driver who caused the carnage fled the scene. Source: 77kaoded -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2020-02-26 Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking Thailand news and visa info

Just1Voice Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 "...fled the scene." Gosh, what a shocker. lol 2
Popular Post cornishcarlos Posted February 26, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2020 The woman in the Honda Jazz was obviously at fault.... Oh wait, that's another one.. I get the carnage mixed up all the time !! 4
mike787 Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 24/7/365 like this in the LOS. life here has less value than a bug after it hits your windshield...enjoy your time. 2
Popular Post 4MyEgo Posted February 26, 2020 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2020 Always look before you proceed, green doesn't mean go, it means, look, if it's safe proceed with caution because anything goes in Thailand, brake failure, speeding through red lights, and cows crossing the road ???? 3
huangnon Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 These 'sugar trucks' are all about 70 years old, last maintained / oil-changed in 1985. Seem to cause accidents all the time also. I always give them a wide berth on the roads, but stuck at a traffic light.. Hub of Carnage.

AhFarangJa Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 I was taught to always......Always.......check both directions as you pull away from traffic lights just in case a moron is running them. I can see the sugar lorry may be partially obscured by the lorry on the inside, but even so a little caution by the other driver may have saved a collision. Sorry,....I have just found the main problem with the above paragraph regarding the roads here...........the first three words.......

"commando springs to mind" just shorts. as for fleeing the scene.... lets have a guess, immigrant employee, no papers, no work permit, cash in hand, no responsibility, less than concerned boss, why stick around !! 1
huangnon Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 "Fled the scene" in true time-honored fashion. About time these guys were manacled into their cabs like the ancient Roman galley-slave ships. Might indenture a bit more responsibility..

Or the guy behind you will do his best to disprove that old law of physics that 2 objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Of course, he'll fail miserably.
