Hi,

My 30-day exempt is admitted until next Friday (13th March).  Will I be able to extend tomorrow (6th March) i.e. a week earlier or is this too soon?

Many Thanks

The additional 30 days will be added to your existing permission to stay, so no reason to wait till last day to apply for the extension but do it at a time convenient for you.

Thanks for reply Peter.  It is more convenient for me to do tomorrow i.e. a week earlier as I had planned to go away next week and didnt want the hassle but just wasn't sure if this was too early?

A week earlier is fine.

hi richy

as someone who arrived recently on visa exempt may i ask if airport immigration asked you to show an onward ticket?

Immigration upon entry would very rarely ask for onward flight. Your implying your planning on flying into Thailand visa exempt. It's the airline almost 100% that will want to see onward flight to issue boarding pass at departure.

Always a good idea to go early.

Good advice but I wouldn't suggest too early especially on say setv. Week or so good idea. Anything extreme not good idea.

Depends on location. Chon Buri immi doesn’t allow any earlier than 7 days where it appears others do allow earlier. As stated, a week early should be fine no matter where you are
