Visa ED or Non-B

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to help a friend.

A little infos first : French passport holder/ been working Non-B + WP during all 2019

But he’s now changing career (wants to become a personal trainer) he found a company that delivers a certification after 90 hours of training-course. Takes almost 5 months to be completed and certified.

He asked them them if they could help with an ED visa so his stay in Thailand during the course can go smooth but they said they can’t because theyre a company but offered to help with a Non-B.

According to them some of the international other « students » got their non-B with just a letter of invitation but when he checked the requirements of several embassies, it appears more documents from the employer are requiered (company details etc) so I’m wondering, is it possible to get a Non-B (business) visa when training with a company? Or is it an ED visa (unpaid training visa)?

And can a company ask for an Ed visa in this case?

Many thanks everyone

Here’s a link to the « ED training visa »

In order to get a non-ed visa it requires the school to be registered the Ministry of Education.

To get a non-b visa would require a work permit to be applied for.

You can attend training with any type of visa entry. There is no requirement to have a non-ed visa.
