Popular Post webfact
Covid-19: Immigration keeping tabs on all foreigners from risky countries Picture: Naew na An immigration spokesman from Region 1 that is responsible for Bangkok has given details about immigration's response to the coronavirus/Covid-19 outbreak. Pol Col Phakkapong Sai-udom said that immigration officers and health department officials were using clauses 37 and 38 of the immigration act to track down foreign tourists and foreign businessmen from countries now deemed to be specifically risky. The tourists and businessmen are being visited at the addresses they have provided. They are all being requested to go into quarantine for 14 days. Anyone found to be sick is being taken to hospital - that includes people from countries not as yet deemed to be risky. If people have moved out of Bangkok immigration offices in the provinces are contacting them with health department staff. He said coverage existed throughout all 76 provinces outside Bangkok. Picture: Naew Na The spokesman said that there are 11,344 Chinese in Thailand who cannot yet go home. They have been here since the ban on travel was started. Their difficulties are less problematic than before. Naew Na said that ultimate responsibility for the procedures of immigration are under the leadership of chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang. They said that the public could call immigration on 1178 to report irregularities or contact the website for advice. Watching various Thai "authorities" flail about, seemingly randomly, tripping over each other with little central direction/leadership, trying to address what we've been told is a minor issue, is amusing. 9

Due to a change in policy by immigration long term residents (retirees, married people etc) no longer stand, they are required to graap at all times. 2

Popular Post BobbyL
The tourists and businessmen are being visited at the addresses they have provided. So with 1000s of tourists still arriving each day, many from high - risk places, we're being led to believe that these chumps are going to visit their hotels etc to find them. Okay then ????

It seems as if more instances of coronavirus cases are found among people traveling from Thailand than within Thailand itself. Very strange???

zhounan
Where I can read the clauses 37 and 38 of the immigration act? I'm a Italian, so need to save my liberty from IO, because of an anti-national interest government and a shameful and criminal communication of the Country in the shape of a boot.

I think I'm healthy, but at 80 yrs old who knows what the temperature scanners might indicate.
