I would fix this kind of thing with what have at home. Plastic sheet inside, small rivets, Pattex power epoxy.

(I have fixed MTB mudgards by creating aluminum and plastic parts)

Try heading down around the Ambassador Hotel. Many boat yards around there. Many boats fibreglass.

Should be easy to find someone who can repair it for you.

DIY fun:

Went down to shop referenced in #3/Johng.

√ 1 liter bottle resin,

√ small bottle catalyst,

√ some glass roving /mat

                         B160

Applied some to fender.

Applied more.

Not pretty.

Will sand and add more later.

When I mixed the first cupful of resin & catalyst,

1/2 way thru the remainder in the cup went off, snap, solid.

Tossed it in bin.

Minutes later

noted fumes/smoke coming off the cup.

Added a cup of water to cool things down

and the water boiled.

Buddha, help me...

Edit:  Back in the early 70's, I came close to setting my apartment on fire.  I was using boiled linseed oil on a wood project.  Wiped the excess off with tissue or paper towels, balled them up and threw them in the bin in the bathroom.  Some hours (a day?) later, smoke was pouring out.  The stuff produces a lot of heat as it cures/polymerizes.  It's similar to barns burning down from hay that is stored before it's fully dried.  Scary.

Not necessarily.  Polyester goes off and gets smoking hot in the cup.  The trick is to get it spread into a thin layer before that happens.

Replaced the mud-guard onto the Climber today.

The attach bolts are too short now.

Wired it together;

15km single track;

worked well.

Ugly. ????

Have like 700ml resin left.

Will transfer ~200ml to small bottle for possible future work.

The remaining 500ml

catalyse then set down in an open area,

to see what happens.

Got up to max 150C/ 300ºF at ~15 min.

If those temp sensor devices work
