Thai "tomboy" takes advantage of virus situation - steals German tourist's bag at Bangkok airport

Tourist police and Suvarnabhumi airport authorities announced the arrest of a 27 year old Thai woman who the media said took advantage of problems associated with the coronavirus situation to steal a German lady tourist's bag.

MCOT shuts radio station after guest host tests positive for Covid-19

MCOT Plc said on Monday (March 16) that the company will shut down its FM99 radio station for 14 days after a guest host reported being infected with the new coronavirus (Covid-19).

Channel 7 spoke to an informant that claimed that at least 26 people were infected with coronavirus at a boxing event held at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in the Thai capital of Bangkok on March 6th.

Movement of visitors from high-risk areas to be tracked with mandatory sim and app

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) will provide a free sim card worth Bt49 to every Thai and foreigner who had travelled from countries announced as having high risk of Covid-19 infection, such as China, Macau, Hong Kong, South Korea, Italy and Iran.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand reported 30 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, raising the total to 177, Sukhum Kanchanaphimai, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Public Health told a news conference.

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday morning (March 17) arrived at Administrative Building 1 of Government House to preside over a Cabinet meeting, wearing a fabric face mask with the same Thai traditional pattern as his shirt, signalling the mask was made from cloth left over after making the shirt.

PHUKET: Police arrested two men and a woman at a Phuket Town condo car park after officers found more than 2,600 pills of methamphetamine (ya bah), more than 12 grammes of crystal meth (ya ice), five pills of ecstasy and a 9mm handgun in the pickup they were in.

Two Kasikorn branches closed for cleaning, sterilisation

Judges to be allowed to wear face masks
