How difficult is it for a young Thai to get unskilled work in bk?

Featured Replies

22 year old presentable female. High school grad. Well mannered, can play the violin lol. Never done a days work in her life.

Strangely finding it hard to get even an interview for jobs in Starbucks Amazon etc.

In these covid times are there jobs like dishwasher where they hire "anybody"?

Getting a job now will be difficult, because most unskilled work tends to be in the industries that are getting hit hard by the shutdown. My friend's gf was getting 3 to 5 interviews per week (and just accepted a good job), but she is a graphic designer. I would expect her prospects to be much better in a few months.

I think it would be best to keep her home and safe, the way things are,

with so many people losing their jobs or hours cut, next to impossible

to find work.

Check with CPAll (7-11) but chances are slim.

Maybe volunteer work ,just to get her off her <deleted>.

Tescos , Big C,  Makro any of the big chains are worth a look. These places are taking on more because of the virus for restocking etc. (Accordiing to the news,)

Keep her home

University when things settle. Maybe BBA program.

The French foreign legion, Thai Air Force, British Navy, USA Navy or Air Force...

Get experience, see the world. (Well maybe not so much 'world' with T.A.F.)

Maybe try GRAB , LINEMAN , FOODPANDA, GET or wichever (food)delivery service , they seam to be thriving at this moment .

NCC is not in Bangkok...

Even before the virus stuff my stepson was having great difficulty getting a gap year job before he went to uni. International school educated, completely bi-lingual. <deleted> IGCSE grades admittedly, but not even an interview at Starbucks etc. TIT.

Rather strange question in these troubled times.

There are 5,000 young ladies in villages who are desperate to come back to "work"

in Bangkok. I for one can't wait 555

Does it have to be Bangkok or can it be Wang Noi or Bang Na areas?

We have plenty of warehouse jobs available in the major grocery chain DCs, though starting as a casual before going permanent but getting 48 to 60 hours a week.

Our son just came back from Bangkok after losing his job as a photographer.

Leave your daughter where she is right now. It's the worst time ever to travel and finding a job.
