Apirat Kongsompong

Army chief General Apirat Kongsompong on Wednesday (March 25) ordered a curfew for soldiers after five in the Army were reportedly infected with Covid-19.

After 238 soldiers entered quarantine, Apirat decided that a curfew would be the best option for the Army.

He has ordered every soldier to return to their accommodation before 9pm and they will have to ask for permission from their commanders if there is a necessity to leave.

From March 25 to April 22, travel between provinces is only allowed for the purpose of the Army and any emergency travel must be reported to the commanders first.

The Army will also strictly apply the social distancing measure to lower the risk of Covid-19 in military camps.

Interesting. Are these from 1 barracks. If so the entire base needs to be quarantined immediately. Spanish flu took off from an army barracks. If they're from different bases then the problem just got bigger. 9:00 curfew. Ok you can go and spread the virus but make sure you're back by 9.

Beginning tomorrow the curfew is 8 pm for us all so why should it be any different for soldiers not on duty?

Didn't think anything has been announced regarding a curfew. Please share your source.

You must be in Prayut's inner circle then, as you seem to be the only one who (thinks) he knows the curfew details.

Can someone please explain to me what that badge/button is on his left shirt pocket ? Looks like a kid ????

At his rank, he can wear anything he likes, maybe his daughter, Thais love <deleted> all over their shirts, majority of it would be like boy scouts getting patches for tying a knot of starting a camp fire, who cares.

In every picture I see of this guy, he always looks as if he is ready to cry. lol

Maybe he has realised that this is one problem which cannot be solved by threats, strutting or violence against unarmed people...

Hmmm! No money left in the coffers to pay out the prizes?
