It should make clear why masks

no , not at  all, touch is the main transmission, Thais and phones, yeah all got  masks and then the phone welded to their ears, constantly  playing with the mask, advice was  always  wear mask if you are  coughing sneezing only or  if  taking care of a sick  person

Go to 2:13 in the video...    yes, touch is the primary medium of transmission, but how does the virus ‘get out there’ in the first place?

It's not on our hands or faces to start with. Respiratory viruses are in our lungs and exhaled as aerosol, which, depending on climatic conditions and size of aerosol hang around in the air for a variable period of time or fall onto a surface we then touch.

IF an unwell person is wearing a mask they spread less aerosol, the mask is a barrier - that is the whole point of wearing a mask when mitigating a respiratory virus.

The key issue with this virus is that we are contagious before we have symptoms and thus when coughing or sneezing as we all do numerous times throughout the day due to particulate irritation can unwittingly spread this virus.

I'm just going to deny all handshake offers moving forward, no compelling reason for us to shake hands. Maybe offer an elbow bump if I really like the person.

  • I think the French and Italians may  reconsider all that cheek kissing too.

  • Ok I'll spell it out then: masks are to stop you from picking your nose or teeth with the dirty paws. Anything that blocks your hand to your mouth and nostrils works, masks happen to be the usual equi

Total BS. Chinese never touch each other on greeting. They kowtow or bow each other but they are the one spreading all the germs.

How can you talk like that...

If - as it seems - coronavirus originated from China, it's not because they don't greet with hands... it's because they eat wildlife, bats in this case.

However, once the virus is around it can spread with handshakes and in a million other ways.

What does this mean?

It means that handshaking is to be avoided to avoid contagion. The fact that Chinese people don't handshake and are those who started the virus has nothing to do with that.

This should be simple and clear enough for anyone to understand, how can you call it <deleted>, are you really as clever as your nickname says?
