Samut Prakan: Governor orders all convenience stores shut overnight, everyone must wear masks when outdoors

Samut Prakan's governor had signed a letter with four ramped up regulations for people and businesses in his province that borders Bangkok.

 

Chartchai Uthaiphan said from now until April 30th:

 

1. All convenience stores were to shut from 11 pm to 5 am the next day. Shoppers must not stand nearer than 1 meter to the counter. Hand sanitizer must be available at entrances and all staff must wear face masks. 

 

2. Hand sanitizer must be available at all markets and all customers and traders must wear face masks.

 

3. All people must wear masks when leaving their homes. 

 

4. All temples must follow rules laid out by the Buddhist authorities. 

 

The rules are effective immediately.

I am waiting for some idiot to decide to spray water in the air to get rid of the virus. They seem to reckon it gets rid of smoke pollution, why not Coronavirus too !

Well i guess it's a step in the right direction,though i don't really grasp the overnight closure of convinence stores as being beneficial.

Not really, if someone is infected and they wear a mask they won’t spread droplets.

Not at all because likely 90% of those infected with covid-19 are walking around completely oblivious that they have it.
