Popular Post 3421abc
I just saw the letter Richard Barrow posted online on tweeter in regards to the new requirements to get a measly 30 extra days in the Land of.....(you can complete). All countries around the world should apply this stupid rule in reciprocity. There is no excuse for making this kind of rules at a time like this. This country shows ZERO compassion to foreigners here. I hope all ambassadors take notice of the treatment their citizens are receiving. Popular Post Matzzon
Looks like there are 2 points missing on that form. 11. A minimum amount of 12 relatives that can verify that it´s really you on the passport. 12. A completed DNA test that confirms that the persons you brought really are your relatives. 9 2

Photos of every room of your house will be so helpful for them to determine who to burglarize later in hard times. Your financial info will be great too when they need to decide who to express kidnap. 6 1
Popular Post Fromas
I agree with the anxiety and frustration expressed in the OP. #10 is too onerous. What if the landlord is old, or a foreigner living in another province/country? What is #9? The official certificate of residence? That's another long wait in Chiangmai unless you pay an agent to expedite! Edited April 2, 2020 by Fromas 5

Popular Post Lacessit
Every country has regulations governing foreigners. Try getting into Australia or America, or staying there, without appropriate documents. Thailand is no different. You do have the option of leaving. Use it if the requirements are too onerous for you. 4 3 9 2

And your opinion is that pictures of you in your accommodation and dragging your landlord to Immigration serve that particular purpose? And could you name any other country that requires people unable to leave to jump through such hoops? Winky Wilson
Thailand is very protective of the monarchy, culture and citizens in their Kingdom. Unlike many other countries which promote foreign invasion and refugees to gain political acceptance/votes of foreign nationals(significant population in western countries) at the expense of national security. Foreign nationals don't exist here like in western countries. Immigration or The Royal Thai Police to be exact, grants us entitlement for being in Thailand based on arbitrary information that can change at anytime. We are guests in a Kingdom. Not for the people who came in Jan and Feb and need emergency extensions, and not for the people who are on long stay visas. We are stuck in limbo when the situation is easy to remedy. Give automatic extensions and have people pay on the way out when the crisis is over, or allow overstay with no punitive results such as IDC or blacklist and let people pay on the way out. It's a win win. No one gets sick in huge queues at IOs (either visitor or IO) , people have legal rights to stay until the borders open, and Thailand still gets the income. As far as I can see, Thailand is one of the only(or only)countries not doing something like this.
