Seems you know more than Fauci. Wonder why you aren’t on the WH podium instead of him.

Exactly where did I make such a claim?  Kindly check the accuracy of my statements.

We need to know exactly who it was who told Trump to start touting medicines from the WH.

Follow the money.

Even Cuomo is getting smart.  He endorses the drug.

Your solutions to try nothing?

A Phoenix-area man has died and his wife was in critical condition after the couple took chloroquine phosphate, CBS affiliate KPHO reported. The additive used to clean fish tanks that is also found in an anti-malaria medication ...

Fish tank cleaner should not be taken as a COVID-19 treatment. It has other additives.

Hydroxychloroquine should only be used to treat COVID-19 as prescribed, monitored and supervised by a doctor that knows the side effects.

Trump got his expert recommendation for the drug chloroquine from Laura Ingraham. Lol. America is in a world of deep hurt for ignoring science.

One must take everything that is put out there with a grain of salt.  Not all medications work for everyone, and certain regimes may work for one but not another.  Just food for thought...

The side effects of COVID-19 for men over 60 years old with health issues such as diabetes, heart disease, or obesity (most at risk) is possible lung damage or death. So the patient and doctor need to weigh out the chance of side effects of the drugs versus the side effects of

infection with COVID-19.

Fortunately Hydroxychloroquine, z pac, zinc COVID-19 treatment is  only for 5-6 days.

If you have lupus or arthritis the Hydroxychloroquine treatment continues for years and you have to worry even more about the side effects.

Dah. He signed an executive order preventing hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine from being used to treat patients with CD19. Truth matters.

Well one thing is certain.  As a result of Trump spouting about the drug, with or without any scientific evidence of its efficacy.  There has been a nationwide run on the drug leaving long time users for malaria & Lupus unable to renew their prescriptions.  And now, the main supplier (40%) of the drug to the US (India) have banned all exports of the drug.  Their crisis is looming & they are conserving resources. So the drug is going to be even more difficult to source.  A president's comments carry a lot of weight & influence.  The ramifications can be profound and widespread.  They should be well considered, not just childish verbal diahorrea for self aggrandizement.

In principle, I am against any (costly) pharma meds, which are all chemicals with side effects - and would depend on how the human body reacts to consuming them.  This anti-malaria drug has been paired with HIV drugs and also with zinc, which may be beneficial.

IMO, a cocktail of drugs could be effective, as is the latest cocktail of antibiotics to counter increased bacterial resistance of MRSA. On that front, it really is a last resort.

There has also been instances where infected persons have been given high doses of Vitamin C intravenously - which has also been used successfully for stage 4 cancer sufferers. The science is beyond my basic understanding, but the effect of stopping rogue cells from replicating is very promising, and could work with corona viruses - and at a cheaper cost.

No doubt the pharma industry would reject that solution in favour of their own costly new drugs.

This is good news. Thew FDA is a spectacularly corrupt agency, and their blessing means very little to many of us. The side effects of this are minimal (as long as you do not consider the inane case of the fool who ingested a gallon of aquarium product, who died), there are few alternatives, and there appears to be little downside to trying it.

I have purchased a sufficient quantity of both Hydro and Azithromycin for my wife and myself, and will self prescribe it, if the need arises. Beats the hell out of spending a million baht on a week or two in a hospital, where they would do very little for us, except relieve us of our hard earned money.

This is not about Trump. I am in no way a supporter of Don Donald, but there have been a number of small studies that have pointed toward the benefits of these drugs. I do not need a major study to concluded something, in order to try something, when there are no alternatives. For me, that is just common sense stuff.

Side effects can include retina damage and heart arrythmia so please be careful to only use these drugs under a doctors supervision.

BREAKING: Dem. Detroit Rep Says Hydroxychloroquine, Trump Saved Her Life From Coronavirus

State Rep. Karen Whitsett, who learned Monday she has tested positive for COVID-19, said she started taking hydroxychloroquine on March 31, prescribed by her doctor, after both she and her husband sought treatment for a range of symptoms on March 18.

“It was less than two hours” before she started to feel relief, said Whitsett, who had experienced shortness of breath, swollen lymph nodes, and what felt like a sinus infection.

Asked if she thinks Trump may have saved her life, Whitsett said: “Yes, I do,” and “I do thank him for that.”

LOL - the 'experts' trump listens to concerning Covid include Giuliani and Kushner.

Actual medical exports claim there is not a clinically proven case to support the use of hydroxychloroquine,

When asked if the drug was promising Friday, Fauci, standing next to Trump, said “the answer is no” because “the evidence you’re talking about … is anecdotal evidence.”

“The information that you’re referring to specifically is antecdotal,” he added. “It was not done in a controlled clinical trial. So you really can’t make any definitive statement about it.”

No evidence other than it has cured over 98 percent of the people who have received the drug.

Reuters is always a good source of a liberal narrative.

The lengths the left will go to to twist reality to spew this garbage is amazing.

Keep it up, then you can have another 4 year term.

Yes, with long term use. Doctors are prescribing it in greater number. The obvious efficacy is a great thing, unless you are a leftist.

and suppose an india company developed an excellent vaccine for covid 19, then trump must shut up and not mention it out of concern indian will ban exporting it?

There are others if you research yourself. While this example is only one person, sure would be a drag if that person was you.

that was not a prescribed drug, it was his fish tank cleaner, what sort of idiot takes his fishes/animals treatments, it was not  even the right one, but typical idiot trying to put the stupidity of people onto someone else, pathetic, especially when many doctors are claiming the prescribed drug is helping but dont let the truth get in the way of your bitch about trump

You've done well with absorbing trump political propaganda - congrats. Another 'expert' contravening current actual medical specialists advisory.

A lot more clinical investigation needs to be done, not least interaction with other treatments a patient is receiving e.g. diabetes

A lot more clinical investigation needs to be done, not least interaction with other treatments a patient is receiving e.g. diabetes

It has been through 3 different trials, it has worked well for over 98 percent of patients.

The stupidity of not using it to treat patients that are at risk of going into severe respiratory problems is also clear.

I know you want the panic to continue, but common sense will prevail. The fda has approved off label use.
