Free drive-through Covid-19 tests for taxi drivers

Princ Hospital Suvarnabhumi on Bangna-Trat Road has launched free drive-through Covid-19 tests for taxi drivers who live or work in Bang Na, Bang Kaew, Bang Phli, Suvarnabhumi Airport or Samut Prakan province and have been in contact with Covid-19 patients or visitors from high-risk countries.

To get a free test, taxi drivers must register at the hospital website and wait for an appointment. The free service will serve only ten drivers a day.

The hospital also provides drive-through tests to the general public at a fee of Bt5,500 per person. Results are emailed to the test takers within 24-36 hours.

Seriously though, nice for the 10 who get it.

I wonder if they'll get immunity passes to carry passengers, and I wonder if those passes will get reproduced illicitly for other taxis? ????

Be interesting to know more about the tests and how reliable they are. Antibody tests don't really cut the mustard and the price looks low for anything more comprehensive.

And as soon as a passenger gets in who has the virus......................get to the back of those 139,990 other drivers.

So, more likely to die of old age than getting a test
