rooster59
Suphanburi: Sword waving Thai man attacks police pick-up with a sledgehammer Image: Daily News A Suphanburi man was well tooled up when he went to the Song Phi Nong police station. Though it has not been reported yet why he appeared so cross. Riding a Suzuki bike with Bangkok plates he went in brandishing a sword. He waved this around for a bit while uttering obscenities disparaging the good name of the constabulary. He then produced a small sledgehammer that he used to smash up a police pick-up. Panyakorn, 41, despite his bravado, was soon in custody and soon whimpering incoherent nonsense. A special task force was brought in and utilizing their equipment they were able to complete an arrest in 10 minutes. Panyakorn said that what had just happened in front of the officers' own eyes - the smashing of the pick-up - was not down to him. "Oh no", he said, "that was 'Ai Tua Lek" (the bloomin' small guy). "You're arresting the wrong person". After hearing enough of this the suspect was taken away to be tested for the presence of drugs and for a full psychological profile completed by medical professionals. khunken
"Oh no", he said, "that was 'Ai Tua Lek" (the bloomin' small guy). I wonder if this was the same goblin that Chalerm named in his (no son of mine did it) attempt to explain who shot the copper in a club many moons ago? billd766
Perhaps one brave member of the constabulary should have whacked him across the kneecap with a truncheon which would have put him down with minimal force.

I think asian police aren't as prone to violence as their western counterparts. And that's one reason I like Asia so much.
