It's hard to predict about the debate or debates. Biden will definitely be at any debate because regardless of the polls at the time, his role is still a challenger to an incumbent so the cost of avoiding a debate would be too high. 45 on the other hand will only debate if he thinks it will help him more than it will hurt him. He has no regard for political conventions that all other politicians are required to respect. He has already signaled that he thinks the debates are "fixed" by the "fake news" "lamestream media" so he can just say that if he chooses to pass and his hard core base will of course eat it up.

All Trump has to do is demand debate settings that are truly neutral.  No moderators that will side with the DEM candidate (ala CNNs Candy Crowley) or NPR asking Biden if he loves his wife and asking Trump if he beats his.  And I suspect he will have at least one more likely 3 debates with Biden as that setting favors his personality more than Bidens.
