The will of one third of the people, to be more correct.

Well you are partly correct Labour receive 32% of the vote

However this suggests 68% had no interest in their policies

Lets not get into further discussion of a topic that was rather put to bed in no uncertain terms by the British public

@JonnyF,

Yes, he did attend Reigate Grammar School. He entered when it was a state funded school by passing his 11 plus. When state grammar schools were offered the choice of becoming state funded comprehensives or fee paying independents, the places of pupils already at those which opted for the latter continued to be funded by the state.

Yes, after gaining his law degree from Leeds he did do post graduate work at Oxford.

Toolmakers are highly skilled tradespeople and as such command higher than average wages. But to compare their income to that of Bill Gates is pure desperation on your part.

Sir Kier was not born a Knight. He was made one by David Cameron in 2014.

Compare his life, education, income etc. with Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson. Who really has the silver spoon?

Indeed, he grew up fairly privileged but now he's trying to act like some working class hero, even getting the fact that he is a Millionaire removed from his Wikipedia page.

Yes he was knighted by Cameron, he's part of the political elite.

Boris was born into a wealthy family but at least he's honest about it. Not like Sir Keir, pretending to be a working class man of the people from his 1.75 million pound Camden gaff.

His pathetic, confusing, anti-democratic stance on Brexit (fighting to overturn the vote) cost his party their worst defeat since 1935 and he was rewarded with the leadership. But then when you look at his competition it's not surprising. Personally I welcome him as Labour leader, it's a great way to keep them irrelevant for another decade.

@JonnyF,

As you've brought Brexit up, remember that last December nearly 54% of voters voted for parties which promised a second referendum.

You're getting more and more desperate in your attempts to present a man from a working class family as some sort of upper class, privileged toff merely because he used his education to good effect.

The more you post, the more it becomes apparent that you are scared he will lead Labour out of the mire Corbyn got the party into so they are a real threat to the Tories at the next election.

You also seem somewhat envious that he's made the most of the opportunities presented to him, from passing his 11 plus onwards.

Here's hoping he makes the most of this opportunity so that Labour become a real opposition party.

54%? You're grasping at straws ????. That's not how it works, not even nearly and you know it.

I'm not saying he's upper class, he was brought up comfortably middle class. Nothing wrong with that, but just be honest about it and don't try to be a working class hero to appeal to the North. Boris proved that isn't necessary.

He's got no chance of leading Labour anywhere. He's a fake, a charlatan and the electorate know it. He's come from a middle class background and wormed his way up into the upper echelons of the political elite, a Metropolitan Champagne socialist. I agree that we need a strong opposition but this man won't provide it.

Indeed, our first past the post, constituency system meant the Tories got a massive majority of seats and so are able to ignore the wishes of the majority of voters.

Something Brexiteers with their constant cries of 'BRINO' accused May of doing throughout her time as PM.

The rest of your post simply reaffirms how terrified you are that Labour under Starmer's leadership stands a real chance at the next election.

A general election is fought on many issues. Healthcare, pensions, defence, immigration etc. Some people vote for the party that their family has voted for over several decades. The Tories smashed it. Their slogan was Get Brexit Done.

If you want to know how people feel about a single issue then have a referendum on that single issue. May I refer you to the result in 2016? 52/48.

So you lost the General Election and also the referendum. I understand your anger, nobody likes to be a loser but maybe it's time to move on? As a non Tory Remainer I'd have thought you'd be tired of losing by now but it seems you're a sucker for punisher backing the next loser in Starmer. Some people never learn ????.

I've given you some facts about Johnson, now you give me some to support your accusation that Starmer is a slimeball.

Or will you resort to the cop out of telling me to look for them myself?

You made the accusation: if you can't back it up with evidence, are you adult enough to withdraw it?

Go back to your keyboard if you can use it... I would put money on the fact you were a '<deleted>( wanted to stay in the EU)'!! ????????????????????????????????????????. PS you have given a few crumbs. Read proper things.

After reading some of your posts on here I simply have to tell you:

Just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean he is wrong.

It is evident that you fail completely to differentiate between disagreement and being incorrect. Once again; just because you disagree with someone doesn't mean he is wrong.

What case would that be replied the Judge, you cannot rest a case until you have made one, and you have supplied neither a case nor any evidence to support it. That will be 6 months in the Scrubs without remission, and a £10,000 fine for contempt of court. Costs are awarded to Sir Keir Starmer.

So you want us to believe you're a retired barrister.

I can just picture the scene. A crown court somewhere in England (or equivalent if you practiced elsewhere).

Judge: Present your case for the prosecution.

You: No. If the jury cannot be a.s.d to look for themselves and learn, I cannot be a.s.d to tell them!

No wonder you had to 'retire' young. With that attitude it's not surprising you couldn't get any briefs!

You clearly have an issue with other posters profession. You claim that they lie, that they post false information. And you seemingly base your entire debate on making incorrect and derogatory statements (especially regarding other posters profession) and insults without being able to provide an ounce of evidence to support these claims. I actually wonder why on earth you are even allowed to post on this forum.

Check google and see how so many had a different attitude back then. Surprised?

New medias, other leaders, etc.  Times have changed..

@Forethat,

I only have an issue when people make claims about their profession which are so obviously false they wouldn't fool a five year old.

I said to you elsewhere that I'm done with your egoism and fantasies. It seems we must know add stalking to the list!!!

If following someone from one topic to another purely to make the comments you have done here isn't stalking, then nothing is.

People who really have the type of important job you claim to have don't boast about it on Internet forums, don't use it to 'prove' they are right and all who disagree with them are, as you have put it, 'posting gibberish.'

You are a fine example of the saying that empty vessels make the most noise.

You also remind me of Sergeant Wellbeloved in Leslie Thomas's book Virgin Soldiers.

Now go and bother someone else.

You tell me, you're the one who started this by making claims with regards to my profession. Me, on the other hand, I couldn't give a flying fig about you do. And you continue to stalk posters like this over and over again. And when someone calls BS you moan about..stalking? You're kidding, right? Here's a link for you:

Have I ever told you what I do...? No. Yet you act as if I had. You boast about what I can disclose or not. Good lord...

At least the Tories will not have to worry about any opposition for a few years, that stupid little girl the Libs wiped off the map, and Labour have swapped one bunch of clowns for another

In your first paragraph you contradict yourself.

We had a referendum on a very different Brexit to the one being forced upon us. There is only one reason Cummings, his political puppets and those who follow them don't want a referendum on whether to accept the deal or not: they're afraid they'll lose.

Your last paragraph is the type of childish nonsense produced by certain posters when they know they have no argument. See posts from @DPKANKAN. I honestly expected better from you.

Nothing in my first paragraph is factually incorrect. Please point out exactly which part of the below paragraph is factually incorrect.

A general election is fought on many issues. Healthcare, pensions, defence, immigration etc. Some people vote for the party that their family has voted for over several decades. The Tories smashed it. Their slogan was Get Brexit Done.

In my last paragraph I simply stated that you are backing a losing cause again. Time will tell, but you're not really in a position to accuse someone of being childish given your recent asinine posts.

This appears to be a bit confusing. The person who I was having the light hearted exchange with on the topic which started with "I rest my case" was DPKANKAN. Yet above Forethat claims someone is making claims about HIS profession which was never part of the thread. Did I miss something, or is someone operating 2 identities at the same time, not I would assume the done thing.
