A question and a couple of comments:

How early can I apply for a marriage extension ?  I have heard both 30 days in advance and 45 days in advance.

I saw the earlier post about document requirements. For 9 years I was asked to provide 3 photos of my wife and me in, and outside, our condo. Last year the IO at Jomtien (the same lady I had seen for the previous 9 years) insisted on 6 photos. No reason given, and we had to go away and provide the 3 extra photos.

Ubonjoe kindly informed me a while back that a Khor Ror 2 could be obtained at City Hall. City Hall have informed us that they will not do so, at this time, as they are only doing "essential services." They informed us to go to Banglamung District Office.

Jomtien is 30 days. Some other offices allow 45 days.

Norm is 3 or 4 but each office can be different.

I do 2 in the house, one with the house number and another from the street showing the house.

That is happening about everywhere. You just have try different Amphoes, Khets or in your case city halls.

One office waived the new Kor Ror 2  because they were aware the local Amphoe was not doing them.

Many thanks, ubonjoe.

One more thing - if I do get blocked on a fresh Kor Ror 2, is this list accurate for the required documents for a 60-day extension?

  • TM7 form (get at immigration)
  • Original passport & photocopies
  • Original TM6 & photocopies
  • Original marriage certificate (KR3) & photocopies
  • Copies of wife's ID card
  • Copies of wife's housebook
  • Copy of lease (we don't live at the address in housebook)
  • Wife herself to attend in person

Or do we still need signed copies of the owner's ID card and housebook for this extension too?

Things I think are only required for 12-month extension, not 60-day:

  • Bank book
  • Bank letter
  • Kor Ror 2
  • Photos of myself and my wife
  • Hand drawn map to our home

If I've got any of those wrong, I would love to be corrected. Thanks again.

They sent me away for the 60 day extension of non O marriage visa because of missing Kor Ror 2 about 40 days ago. So in Chaeng Watthana you need it for the 60 day extenton as well.

I also had to do the drawing.
