Getting addicted to Lazada?

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

It seems I can now easily spend more time on Lazada than TVisa now which is a good thing.

What is the last thing you got delivered and what do you have on order now?

Delivered 2 days ago - hair clippers, first DIY joint effort with the wife this morning - took it easy turned out OK (though the village barber will likely laugh if he sees me)

On order - 3 in 1 HDMI adaptor to get my Netflix back on my Chromecast after pushing the satellite cable into the TV too hard.

Lazada is wonderful.

I never buy anything on the internet and certainly not at Lazada which is often more expensive than in local shops.
but everyone does what they want with their money

I used to buy a lot of small things on Aliexpress, that's stopped now as i think post delivery is backlogged. Lazada a bit last resort if i need things quickly, so not addicted but might change

Fair point you need to shop around.

Not always true though my brother in law bought a bluetooth speaker in BigC for 650 Baht, I liked the sound and so I recently bought the exact same one for 400 Baht.

I am not loyal to just Lazada there are other options I just find Lazada for me are reliable and do cash on delivery which I like.

I bought a Xiaomi phone for 2,000 Baht less on Lazada after checking all the shops at Fortune Town, and they also threw in a free Xiaomi Smart Watch. I've also bought two SSD hard drives for much less than I could buy them at Fortune Town. I always check the brick and mortar stores and Lazada before I buy almost anything, and Lazada is cheaper almost every single time, and quite often, much cheaper.

Don't think Lazada is expensive actually, certainly not if you 'shop' around. We've found some good bargains.

If your addicted to Lazada make the effort to set your devices to block the website.

Yesterday I ordered a Digital Microscope, a pickup for my acoustic guitar, guitar strings, and 20 rolls of sticky fly paper because my neighbors all have outside kitchens and refuse to move into the 21 st century...Damned flies....

Lazada is the best thing since sliced bread.

You cant always find items in stores, do a quick search on Lazada and it appears at very competitive prices.

No double pricing, everyone pays the same, Thais and foreigners.

The trouble is I end up buying stuff I never use, I have a Lazada warehouse of items bought and I dont use.

I used to always prefer aliexpress - despite the VERY long delivery times. I used to order clothes from Lazada but often found the wait times quite long. But since the lockdown, I've bought a couple of things from Lazada for my son. 1) was a computer table so he could do his online study more easily - I wanted to buy from Tesco or Big C but they'd cordoned off the isles so used Lazada. 2) was an Avengers hoodie, and both of the items came really fast (likely due to less traffic on the roads.

You have to be careful and know the price you are buying.  I have seen Ikea goods sold on there - which are significantly more expensive than ordering directly from Ikea.  There are good sellers and then there are some that use it as a means to fish for suckers (prices multiple times more expensive than MSRP).

I have ordered probably more than 100 items through Lazada, very few I have been unhappy with...  and usually I know the price range of what is reasonable since I am a bit frugal ????

Lazada itself is not a shop , just a selling platform for thousands of retailers , mostly good but with a few dodgy ones. You don't by from Lazada you buy on Lazada.

I've found another form of entertainment. I get on ThaiFriendly and ThaiCupid, and go trawling for the ones that are giving indications they are pay for play. Some post really good photos. Cheaper than Lazada, and right now you couldn't buy anyway.

My wife said if this lockdown goes on any longer she's buying a sowing machine Im on first name terms with Lazada delivery  drivers

Lots of bargains to be had for sure, Im looking for buy one get one

Yes i am addicted to Lazada, especially now with nothing to do except look at the internet. 265 purchases so far !! 98% are good, much cheaper than the same item in shops (post #2 ?) but sometimes get a bad one. Just bought a new fan but it is Chinese rubbish, have to send it back. Look for the special sales 11/11, 12/12 etc where you can get another 1000 baht off.

Lazada is great for service and delivery, but they won't take any action over their sellers for poor quality stuff.

ie, I bought motorbike saddlebags from them only a few months ago, the zips came apart on both bags within the last two weeks.

Also, I bought the numbers for Windows 10, and they sent me the wrong numbers, their chatline is a lot of nonsense and a complete waste of time also.

I have bought several items through Lazada - both their store and merchants that use their platform.  On two occasions, I had to send an item back - one purchased through their store for 11k baht and the other through a Bangkok merchant for around 800 baht.

The experience with the Lazada store item was great - went online to note I wanted to return it (didn't work), for their store, they offer a return policy of within 14 days of delivery.  It was delivered by Kerry, they gave me an online bar code to print and put on the package for return by Kerry - Kerry scanned the code, printed the shipping label, and returned the package at no charge. Lazada processed the credit to my card a day after they received the item.

The Merchant was a bit different, plus for merchants, the return policy is 7 days.  Even so, went on Lazada online, they advised they would check with merchant, the merchant called me and I explained the problem (product was not as represented and would not work for my purpose).  Shortly thereafter, Lazada advised me send the item back - in this case, I paid for return shipping by post. Again, a refund to my card was made within a couple of days after the merchant received the return package.

Other than that, I have been happy with shopping using Lazada platform.  Also, since items from outside Thailand take longer for delivery, I like their search feature where you can restrict it to a Thailand based merchant.  I used COD feature the first time, but didn't like the idea of having to be sure I'm home and have exact amount available.  So I switched to paying for the item when ordered.

Yes, they do seem to have dodgy sellers, and won't accept any responsibility for them.

Heavy use of both Lazada and Shopee.  Prefer Shopee as more lower cost sellers and can use direct bank payment (no time for COD in extended family home with deliveries every few hours).

In view of this Corona 19 virus issue, from China, and their damned lies, I am inclined never willingly to buying anything from China now, even if I have to pay more.

Makes the language barrier disappear and hunting around trying to explain what you need or want. Convenient.

The problems start when something is faulty. Lazada make or seem to make the process deliberately difficult, and lengthy. They support and protect the seller NOT the customer in my experience.

I mostly use credit card for payment so I have my own support if they get difficult.????

Most of the stuff is ok, you need to shop around though on there as some are selling others stuff just marked up, you can get the same item with a whole range of prices.

I also stick to the filter for "local"so its all within Thailand.

Final note, hate CGJLS when I see that AFTER the item is bought my heart sinks ! Its gonna be really really slow and usually 7-8 pm ! Kerry are brilliant .

Hijacking permitted! It's relevant.

Lately I buy only 'local' items as deliveries are now not just slower but non existent in some cases.

I also buy from iHerb, Amazon.co.uk and .com and others but now they are simply not shipping to Thailand.

Hope the good times return soon.

Now that is what I call a bargain! Does it play well? I could be tempted!

Normally about 10 days but last was over 20 days (small/cheap item).  Also try to buy domestic but that getting very hard as Thailand seems to have little stock and makes almost nothing anymore.  Sometimes may be worth paying a bit more for local stock shipment however.

Most all Barbers open in Pattaya on Soi Buakow.

Wonder how they can remain open. Maybe police need hair cuts so give them a bye.

Thais are not really following the 2 meter social distancing.

Since masks are mandatory, why would you need 2 meter distancing wearing a mask?
