April 25, 20206 yr It would help me and no doubt many others to have a list of travel options post Corona. At some stage things must improve but unlikely in lockstep. Regardless of Thai decisions other neighbours and near neighbours may have other restrictions. Is it possible we have a sticky , not cluttered with debate, misinformation or banter? For me it would be helpful to have a list of 1 Which border crossings are open for foreigners to do a border bounce. This may include an overnight like P Besar? 2 Which countries within a 10 hour radius will allow a holiday break, not concerned about costs.visas be nice to travel again This to include as Far as Mauritius ,NZ/Oz , Japan, but not Europe or America (which you may add but so many more risks and nations). 3 Precise Thai government restrictions to board a flight, health test etc? 4 Any restrictions on a border bounce, would a health test done in Thailand in morning near border guarantee re-entry. Obviously no point booking a fortnight break to escape monotony of lockdown in Bali, Okinawa Jeju Island or Palawan if having to lockdown there for for weeks.Or even worse be taken to some quarantine/separated from partner etc. A seperate thread maybe here can debate all this but IMHO a go to list of ONLY where is open be very much appreciated by many members based on official source, I know we have readers and members throughout the region who could add info to be sifted and confirmed .I know there are flights to China now but weather awful and once back to normal horrific pollution. April 25, 20206 yr Popular Post This is the reference of restrictions by country, and frequently updated: https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/international-travel-document-news/1580226297.htm As you can see, there are almost no country that allows non resident to come in.
April 25, 20206 yr Author Thanks but dowsn't cover arrival by sea land or river. Interesting air crews not quarantined in inter alia Cambodia with many contacts in many places they could easily be super spreaders.
April 25, 20206 yr Popular Post 1. None at this time. 2. IATA info provided would be an indication of entries by land or sea as well. Most would have the same rules as by air. 3. To leave or enter? Leaving would be whatever is required for the country you are traveling to. At this time you cannot enter Thailand. Check the IATA info for updates. 4. Closed now. Since it is travel related info should be in the Thailand Travel Forum .

Thailand is not going to open anytime soon the VISA EXT JULY 31 it says a lot. Malaysia will do another two weeks for sure The one thing these Muslim bases dont want is a full celebration and mixing at Eid after Ramadan the infection numbers here are low but they can explode at any time as soon as you have a religious gathering forget it. Its pretty screwed there is not a lot of places if any one can go but a read of the list is really interesting SWEDEN for example from Thailand its a NO NO BUT if you are in a heavily infected country in Europe WELCOME You can go to the USA UK both countries still letting in folks BENIN SWAZILAND SOMALIA yaah all those countries you really intended to go but never had the time PUERTO RICO 14 days self quarantine and I am assuming if these standards are applicable for Air then they will surely be the same for land and sea. Happy Holidays

Might not affect many here, but if this is to become a reference thread it's important to say it.

In most countries air crews are not allowed to leave the airport but return on the flight they came in. Flights carry spare crew.

I am well aware of that but in my time we used bathrooms, cafes and mingled with crews, so the transmission might not enter here but spread globally, of course I'd imagine few of thsoe who clean the rest rooms and publc areas are high flyers.

Happy Holidays Very good points and as well as the 2 Eids Al Fir and Al Adhya are clebratd by all muslim communities and throughout the Middle East the "ifta" ater dark breaking of the feast often has communal breads , tabouleh, labneh scooped by hand or served by the elders a transmission nightmare, sucj habits and holidays are so central to the culture well nigh impossible to change quickly.
