Eleven illegal immigrants from Myanmar escaped from an immigration transport vehicle after Tak immigration tried to hand them back to officials in their home country.

They had forced a door on the vehicle.

Two were subsequently recaptured at a military checkpoint.

An immigration source told 77kaoded that the illegals had been arrested at various places in Tak in the north west of Thailand and were being transported back to their home country after many days in captivity.

But the Myanmar authorities refused to accept them. On their way back to detention in Thailand they escaped.

The fate of the nine missing people was unknown.

Life is tough for a lot of people, got to feel for them.

Thai Immigration can only control law abiding foreigners, and yet try and make this same legal groups life harder.

That would be a more interesting story

Personally, I agree with the Burmese Authorities - possible carriers of COVID-19.
