rooster59 Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Illegal Myanmar immigrants on the run after escaping from immigration custody Image: 77kaoded Eleven illegal immigrants from Myanmar escaped from an immigration transport vehicle after Tak immigration tried to hand them back to officials in their home country. They had forced a door on the vehicle. Two were subsequently recaptured at a military checkpoint. An immigration source told 77kaoded that the illegals had been arrested at various places in Tak in the north west of Thailand and were being transported back to their home country after many days in captivity. But the Myanmar authorities refused to accept them. On their way back to detention in Thailand they escaped. The fate of the nine missing people was unknown.
