The post I was responding to (someone else’s; not yours) was filled with misstatements and was lunatic in tone. I think my response was appropriate. As for “debasing women,” the post I was responding to was filled with gratuitous insults of E. Jean Carroll. You yourself wrote that “anybody who believes this woman is out of their mind” (I am fully of sound mind, thank you), and that other women who had accused Trump of sexual abuse are a “bunch of money grabbers” (without, presumably, caring to know anything about who they are or what their stories are). In another thread, one person said that the Epstein victims are all simply prostitutes (he used more colorful language) and therefore undeserving of any consideration whatsoever; and in another, a person surmised that women should feel flattered when they get catcalled on the street, and should thank the catcallers. I can only conclude that a large number of people posting on these threads are full-blown misogynists who will take the wealthy, powerful man’s side every time against the woman, without even for a moment pausing to try to understand the woman’s point of view. Frankly I find this weak and pathetic, but also ultimately destructive of civil society. OK?
