China to foot the bill ?

There is no doubt that the covid 19 came from China with the true sourse yet to be determined by virologists . It has been stated that the Chinese authorities initially tried to cover up the outbreak which got out of control and quickly spread globally to cause not only many thousands of deaths plus millions of people seriously infected but has all but destroyed the global economies . Majority of countries are or will be in recession .    Should China be made to compensate the world and to reinstate economies to a pre covid 19 world ?  I have friends who now say they will try to avoid buying anything made in China and this opinion is being spread on the social media .

Its like saying should the US foot the bill of all the refugees after their wars (i mean like the chemical weapons that were never found so a false war) ? It just wont happen. 

 

Of course you can avoid buying products made in China its hard but can be done.

Compensation from China. Forget it. It will be the same dragging procedure to make Russia admit the are responsible for the airplane crash in the Ukraine.

But we need to get independent again. Move production to our own continent. Not only better in times of virus crisis but also in terms of labour and environment. Less sailing and less flying to distribute. Less pollution in the world.

The Chinese have pooped on their own plates.  Suspicion of Chinese motives have turned into dismay and disdain for Chinese total disregard for other peoples of the world.

 

Look for a mass exodus of international commerce and a worldwide boycott of Chinese made goods and services.

 

Thailand, of course, will continue to cater to Chinese tourists and be one of China's best customers...

I hope you are right and I am rea;;y surprised that this has not been on the global political agenda . Besides the virus pandemic the Chinese are guilty of poor human rights , barbarric treatment of animals for human consumption and the desimation and extinction of wild life in other countries for their weird belief that certain parts of animals will boost their physical power  .

Not enough money in the world to pay compensation, as opposed to reimbursement of losses. It's not a serious question, just thrown out there from someone in a different reality. What's most likely to happen is a slow crawl away from China, trade wise, followed by a war. Or Xi starts to lose face and is replaced so that their long term aims can be resumed. Gotta sort out a decent US president first.
