Topics Based Upon Nationality

Featured Replies

TV members have a great wealth of local knowlege, exprience, etc both in Thailand but also as expats when dealing with their home countries. But sometimes it may be necessary

to seek out opinion, expience from fellow nationals.

Just looked at the thread about nationality poll. Seems that 70% of the respondents are either from the UK, Australia or USA. Dont really know if this is statistically accurate.

This is just an idea of mine and might prov to be like opening Pandora's box for moderators.

Think its would be a usefull feature for UK-UK, Australian-Australian, American-American asnweres or viewpoints, perspectives from fellow nationals. Others might be added as needed or a "none of the above" sub forum.

Thanks for your consideration

i think there is a forum called "Visa and migration to other countries" in the visa section, that most of what you say would apply to.

Failing that, the general forum,, could apply to some extent.

Failing that, one can always send a private message (PM) to a relevant person.

regards,

kayo.

Correct - as an example, there was a recent topic in the general forum concerning changes to Australia's Medicare system that affected expats who had been non-resident for 5 years or more.

Items such as these have a direct impact on the Aussie expats living here in Thailand and it is useful for them to be kept informed of such developments so they can make appropriate decisions and arrangements.

We do not however, want non-Thailand related news items or political topics on the forum. There are plenty of other forums available elsewhere to discuss those subjects.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit
