Army chief fires boxing stadium committee over Covid-19 outbreak

An inspection of Lumpini Boxing Stadium, which has been identified as the epicentre of the country’s Covid-19 outbreak, has found serious defects in the venue’s disease control measures. The findings were revealed on Thursday (June 4) by Maj-General Burin Thongpraphai, who heads the office of the judge advocate.

Only 20% of Chonburi tourist attractions ready to reopen

Thitipat Siranattasrikul, president of Chonburi Attractions Association, said all the revenue from this year came before March.

 

With Thailand’s borders closed, hotels shuttered and provincial travel limited, it should come as no surprise that Chonburi tourist attractions saw business decline 80 percent this year.

Thailand’s National Electronics and Computer Technology Centre (NECTEC) and the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) are cooperating in the development of a compact facial thermal scanning device, which will be capable of accurately scanning the temperatures of several people simultaneously.

Public Health Perm-Sec threatened with a malfeasance lawsuit

The Khon Kaen Provincial Hospital Director has threatened to sue Public Health Permanent Secretary, Dr. Sukhum Kanchanapimai, after he was transferred to Chanthaburi province over alleged corruption in connection with donations to the Hospital Development Fund.

Finance Ministry: Public debt ratio remains within framework
