webfact Posted June 10, 2020 Share Posted June 10, 2020 Africans used Thai women to smuggle "ice" to Japan PIcture: INN INN reported that a taskforce called "Black Sashimi" had been successful in smashing a gang of Africans using Thai women as mules to smuggle methamphetamine into Japan. After the arrest of a Mr Friday and a Thai woman at Don Muang in October they now appear to have expanded the inquiry with a reported 19 places raided and 10 suspects arrested. There was a Nigerian and a Korean and eight apparent Thai nationals. A total of 5.2 kilos of "ice" and other drugs including ecstasy, ketamine and cocaine was seized along with a car and a motorcycle and a phone. Mention was also made of the importation of ecstasy from Europe to Thailand. A press conference was held. Headline should read " Thai woman caught trying to smuggling ice into Japan". You would think by the OP's headline she was forced into it. She didn't do this for anyone but herself. Easy to be a keyboard judge. Put yourself in some of their shoes. You might be temped as well. Bottom line is these Nigerians are taking advantage of these people and doing illegal activities and should shoulder most of the blame. I have better than 50% hit rate and I'm never searched anywhere else in the world. And their search is no cursory look see - they go into your stuff pretty good. If you bothered to actually read the OP (and look at the link) you'd see that it refers to arrests involving another African and Thai last October in this same operation and shows photos of other Africans involved in this stage. If the African is the organiser/boss of the gang then it's an African gang regardless of the number of mules of other nationalities involved.
