The Easy Pass topping up service at toll booths will be cancelled from June 16, because of the traffic problem in front of the booths.

The Expressway Authority of Thailand (Exat) said that 149 booths of Sirat and Chalong Rat (Ramindra-Atnarong) Expressway will stop the top-up service next Tuesday (June 16).

Easy Pass users, however, can still top up their cards through the "Easy Pass Fast Service", bank’s online services and convenience stores. The available mobile applications include K Plus, Krung Thai Next, Krungsri Mobile App, or True Money Wallet.

Easy Pass is the card used in the Electronic Toll Collection System. According to Exat, it is used to solve the traffic congestion problem at the checkpoint area. The user can quickly pass through the special channel, with the sign “Easy Pass”.

I top up using the Bangkok Bank Banking App on my phone ,,, takes about a minute. I have stopped risking my life trying to cross from the Easy Pass Lane to their offices which are always on the left.

same use the Kbank one, very easy to use

Sounds fair enough. What's frustrated me about these offices though is that I've yet to go to one that will replace my dead fob (and transfer the money across or give a refund of the money). They just say "go to the next one, we can't do it here because we're new."

To use up the credit you can drive up to the easy pass barrier and wait there, causing a huge tailback. The attendant will then arrive and scan your easy pass with a bar code reader and the barrier will open. Do this until you have an almost zero balance.

Buy a new pass. You can pay 500 baht and get a new pass with 500 baht credit. The same for 1,000 baht.

You know as well as I do that it is illogical, but there you go.

That's what I did a few times as I thought changing the position on the windscreen could help a bit. I felt so bad though as it took forever for the attendants to come. Do you know if we can use it at a normal pay booth or will this create even more problems?

The problem is probably the battery inside the easy pass has run out. There is nothing you can do except get a new easy pass (unless you want to start cutting it open at your own expense).

You can't use an easy pass at the normal pay booths. They do not have any equipment to scan your pass.

why not use a scan card system so individuals don't have to hold up line and just keep the card topped up from CC or if disagree then you can not use it
