Stadtler
Maybe not. Maybe they have super duper HEPA filters in the airplanes. Stadtler wants one if that is the case. Here is the text from the email: We’re Practising Additional Cleaning and Hygiene Measures From disinfecting the aircraft regularly to our hospital-grade HEPA filters (which remove 99.9% of all particles including viruses) we are maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness on board all our aircraft. robblok
Actually its not just air asia its standard in most airlines. They filter all the air every 3 minutes through a special hepa filter. Maybe Stadlter should find a machine with the same capacity. There was a whole piece why the air in airplanes was safer then in other places. I doubt you have a machine capable of doing what they can do in airplanes. Next time investigate before you put your foot in your mouth when trying to bash Thai's Also you will of course still need a mask for extra security. https://qz.com/1818213/coronavirus-doesnt-spread-any-faster-inside-airplanes/#:~:text=Nowadays%2C airplanes have hospital-grade,air humidity—and your comfort. Do you know how small a virus is? It cannot be filtered by a HEPA filter.

Yes, you are correct, the virus, by itself, can easily pass through a HEPA filter. But, the virus lives in small droplets of water that can easily be filtered, thereby making it effective. Just like tnose masks, they don't stop the virus, they stop the droplets...

Stadtler loves a good challenge. Tell Stadtler what the HEPA filter will do with a sneeze? Assuming you are correct, and the droplet doesn't fall on the tray table, but does get "swooped up" by the HEPA filter, what happens to the virus once the droplet dissipates? Stadtler thinks it blows through the airplane like a fart in the wind. Stadtler would have been better impressed had Air Asia claimed to also stop farts cold, or is it stop farts warm. Never you mind, it's a false claim. Uh oh should Stadtler be jailed for questioning this very questionable claim by Air Asia?

Stadtler should not think too much, as this information does not come from only Air Asia and is backed up by science. Go fight it out with the scientists and have fun with your challenge. If HEPA filters were useless they would not be used as extra precaution in hospitals too. Nobody said flying is safe but its more safe then being in a movie theater or other stuff. As long as you keep your mask on let the filter system go on you will be ok. Its not full proof but its better then being in non filtered air. Just remember every 3 minutes all air is filtered. That is quite impressive and far above any other system. So its safer not 100% safe but then again old Stadler needs something to moan about. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/blog/can-hepa-air-purifiers-capture-coronavirus/ Edited June 11, 2020 by robblok

What science? Stadtler thinks you are fibbing. Are you fibbing. If you are not fibbing, then you will easily post a link showing science to Stadtler. Show Stadtler the science that claims a HEPA filter can catch a virus.

Will a virus be filtered? If a virus cannot be filtered, then their claim is false. Should Stadtler be put in jail for defamation just for the crime of pointing this out?
