Miracle escape! Mother, father and two year old girl walk away from horror crash in Krabi

Locals were astonished that two parents and a two year old girl suffered only superficial injuries after their pick-up slammed into a truck trailer doing a U-turn on the Petchkasem Road in Thap Phrik sub-district of Krabi in southern Thailand.

Opening days of ‘Commerce market against COVID-19’ generates B350k for vendors

PHUKET: The first two days of the “Commerce market against COVID-19”, has generated more than B350,000 in income for market vendors, reports the Phuket office of the Ministry of Commerce.

Medical expert wary of virus threat posed by tuition centres

Tuition centres pose a greater risk for spreading Covid-19 than normal schools, as they are always located in crowded places such as department stores, and are full of children in one teaching room, Dr Yong Poovorawan, Chulalongkorn Hospital’s clinical virologist, said on his Facebook page on Friday (June 12).

Navy rescues two fishermen after Phuket storm swamps longtail boats, search continues for four more

PHUKET: A search and rescue team from the Royal Thai Navy Third Area Command have safely recovered two fishermen after two longtail boats sank in heavy seas off Koh Maithon early this morning (June 12). The search continues four more missing from the second longtail boat.

Thailand reports no new domestic COVID-19 cases for 18 consecutive days

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand on Friday reported four new coronavirus cases and no new deaths, bringing its total number of confirmed infections to 3,129, of which 58 were fatalities.

Fishermen call on Surat Thani authorities to solve cockle war

Prayut meets with Huawei to hatch ‘5G recovery’ plan

Huawei also donated 500,000 face masks to Thailand.
