Just in case you haven’t been reading the news, Trump asked Xi for re-election help, and said he was ok with concentration camps. Another quid pro quo.

What better way to promote a book than have the President bring the full force of his administration to try and ban it.?!

The cat is already out of the bag.

The current "president" who was never fully legitimate in the first place is guilty of a plethora of impeachable offenses (but still protected by his republican minions).

But we knew that already.

On to November.

And said he was ok with concentration camps, it’s what he’d do.

Another quid pro quo.

Typical trump supporters trying to derail the thread. So getting back on topic.

Trump has a problem, he is suing bolton for breaching executive privilege. For him to be successful he will need to prove boltons claims are correct.

Brilliant! ????

He sues him for disclosing confidential information, so it means the information must be accurate. Otherwise he would suit him for defamation.

If it looks certain that 45 is going to lose in Nov, some Rs will begin to distance themselves from him in a vain effort to save themselves. It will likely be too late at that point, as the Senate now looks to turn Dem, too, but it will be fun to watch them scramble, lie and say, "I always knew 45 was a....blah blah blah".

Using the latest state by state polling data, Biden has got a fairly wide lead on the Electoral map. Not even counting the current set of "swing states", Biden is sitting at 272 Electoral votes. This means Biden is already over the 270 Electoral votes needed to win. Any additional swing state is just gravy on top.

I sleep better and better each night as Biden's numbers get better and better each poll.

45 is now going to try to build a campaign on being hard on China, when in fact he has a hard on for China.

It will soon go soft when he hears about details of his nieces book.

Actually, once trump is consigned to the history books i think there will be quite a few books written about his inane stupidity.

I hope biden gets in then hands it to his vp after 1 term. Hopefully someone around 50.

Didn't think it was possible for him to make himself look any guiltier...nor stupider!

Yet he manages it once again! :vampire:

Incompetence - he managed to get himself elected POTUS after a dubious business career, a TV show, and when all those supposedly knowledgeable ones said he had no chance!

Hows that stack up for incompetence against a career politician, ex first lady, ex Secretary of State, who all the knowledgeable ones said couldn't loose screwing it up?

Looks like this November it will be about the least incompetent rather than most competent again!

It means he was electable relative to the lame crop (and main rival) on offer.

Competence as in carrying out his role as POTUS? Not much.

Here you go, the seven most disturbing allegations (including Trump didn’t know the UK had nuclear weapons) in Bolton’s book.

from your shared link ... "Bolton claims in the book that Trump told China’s Xi that Americans wanted him to get rid of the two-term limit imposed on presidents by the US Constitution."

John Bolton must be the most hated man in Washington these days....not that he cares much.  One thing that Bolton has over Trump is credibility.  Bolton may be a lot of things, but he's not a proven pathological liar like Trump.

[Bill Kristol, a prominent conservative thinker who opposes Trump, wrote on his website The Bulwark that "almost every Republican official" knows Bolton personally and no one considers him a liar.

"John Bolton may not be the epitome of warmth, humor or even kindness. But he is honest," Kristol said.]

Warmonger Bolton should move to some place where there is no extradition to the US. Then give the contents on the book to wikipedia and the Guardian and let them do the rest.

No money in that.
He refused to testify because he had a book deal in the works. No point in spilling the beans before the book comes out.
Now he saying the Democrats where incompetent for just going after trump’s Ukraine quid pro quo.
The guy is a complete pos just like the rest of trumps swamp creatures.

Won’t buy the book but look forward to reading the pirated copy.

What's truly bizarre about the attempt to have the courts stop Bolton's book from being sold is that claim that it contains classified material. According to President Trump it's all lies. So now reporting stuff that never happened is a threat to national security?

Trump lost the book is beeing released well trump guess you reap what you sow come on November!!!

Deranged? Who would hire a deranged person? And why fire someone if you only hire the best people?

Come to think about it, Bolton wasn't the first of the best people to get fired.

He wasnt even fired. He resigned.

Yeah, that is what he claims but the Trump fanatics would never believe that. Clearly, Bolton is lying because Trump never lies.

I freely admit to being a bear of very little brain, particularly when it comes to American political matters, but if the book is a tissue of lies, as it has been described, then why must Bolton be sued to prevent it's publication?

Does the USA not have an equivalent to our (UK) Official Secrets Act, under which such a publication could be prevented by a minister? Are the lies classified? Does the USA have classified lies? Why did Mr Bolton grow such a bizarre soup strainer moustache? Why does the President of the United States grow more orange with every passing day?

I may have to go and lie down in a darkened room whilst I wrestle with these concepts.

Since Captain Flack's (sorry, Mr Bolton - aficionados of Trumpton will understand) intent was almost certainly to put the boot into The Orange Man I doubt whether he will be overly concerned about intellectual property rights!

When You're Too Shady for John Bolton, It's Time to Reexamine Your Choices | The Mary Sue

Worst Witness Protection Program disguise ever!

The wig, the moo-stache, the jowls. the eyebrows...

At least the Dem-leaning crowd is not putting much hope in this one, like they have potential DT busters of the past.  Even Chris Hayes, who've I've always considered to be a candy-a__ seems to be growing a pair:

Quote

“Bolton is a perfectly representative figure of the modern Republican party [...] He’s duplicitous, untrustworthy, extremely militaristic. He’s never been held accountable for all the terrible things he’s done in his long public career, and there are many. He is a completely morally odious individual you would not want in your organization or anywhere around you, and yet he is of course also a Fox News contributor and at the highest levels of the Republican policy-making. [...] Maybe you’ll remember that Bolton was one of the people that broke up the White House pandemic response unit.  [...] John Bolton could spend the rest of his life, like Lady Macbeth, trying to wash the blood off his hands and it would be there still.”
