Quoting Windows Vista chief distributor in Beijing the site says that after two weeks January 19 to February 2 Microsoft managed to sell a mere 244 copies of Windows Vista.

Vole spent millions advertising its next generation OS 'Windows Vista' in behind the bamboo curtain and even stuck up a 421 metre ad on the Jin Mao tower in Shanghai China.

That's about right.

At around (4,100,000) copies per legit sale, the entire nation can have his/her own edition.

Now the Chinese ICT can probably figure out how to download the patches/updates, and distribute them themselves.

Yep, the world seems to be in order.

Are you saying that the Americans and other Westerners are more stupid than the Chinese?

MS sold more (if not all what they sold) Vista copies in the West, much more than in China.

Who is at the loss then? Those that laugh like you or those that simply don't buy it?

Be careful when you mess with Asians. While you laugh, they might be shitting and pissing all over you. Just ask MS how it feels. Their strategists could have had people like you to lead their effort. Clueless Westerners.

HARDWARE MAKER Dell said that it will start offering Windows XP on its products despite the wish of Microsoft for the outfit to just flog Vista.

Dell switched nearly entirely to Vista-based systems in January, but it has been finding that its customers have walloping the outfit's online suggestion box IdeaStorm asking for XP to be bought back

Dell is only offering XP Home and Professional as options on four Inspiron laptop models and two Dimension desktops.

However the move is bad news for Vole, which wants people to move away from XP and buy Vista as soon as possible. Microsoft was expecting that people who were planning to buy a new PC would go for Vista, it appears that there is a hard core that do'nt want to touch it.

A spokesVole was not phased. He told news.com that it was only a small minority of users who wanted XP, the vast majority :D wanted Vista.
