Thai Language school recommendations

The serious schools such as Union, UTL, Piamitr require you to study five days a week, 3 or 4 hours a day, plus an hour or two of homework, so you're left with the likes of Walen which used to have a reputation for requiring minimal attendance but still facilitating the visa.  However, nowadays they only support visa application if you sign up for 400 lessons over one year.  Unless someone else has any suggestions, I think you may be out of luck.

You won't be able to have meaningful conversation with Thai people except ordering food even after 5 years.

Most schools don't teach everyday informal Thai but only formal Thai.

Most students don't put enough effort to learn. Thai and European languages are so different that it takes enormous effort to have meaningful conversations. I have seen people learning Thai for 7 years and still couldn't pronounce properly or getting the grammar correct.

If you just want a basic Thai course with 2 times per week classes, try Chiang Mai university. They do offer education visa.
