snoop1130
Govt looks for ways to curb Covid-19 infections after emergency lifted By THE NATION Wissanu Krea-ngam The Communicative Disease Act may need to be amended to effectively deal with the Covid-19 crisis once the state of emergency has been lifted. Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam said on Friday (June 26) that the only way to control the Covid-19 situation after emergency is lifted will be to make the law stronger. “But I’m not sure if only one law needs to be amended or more,” he said. Wissanu explained that as things stand, people cannot be ordered to wear face masks under the Communicative Disease Act. bkk6060
It sounds to me as if the act may be amended to make it mandatory that everyone wears a mask.
Popular Post JCP108
When you curb something that is usually when the number is something greater than zero. I think per their reports, it's already curbed. There is no Covid-19 in Thailand other than people who are currently in quarantine as they have told us for 31 days.

Scott Tracy
Amend the law to curb something that hasn't existed for 32 days? This is nothing short of locking the stable door after the horse has bolted. They had the chance over the last few months to review this law and come up with ideas, or not, as the case may be. Cannot be ordered to wear masks, social distance, curfews, closing establishments.... More draconian measures I guarantee for people to ignore, and quite right too. Ketyo
I suspect they will also make it mandatory for people to leave names and contact details at bars and clubs or scan a QR code with a phone to get in... and continue to do so after COVID has gone... for national security reasons....
