I do partly agree with what you say but I'd not call this a "strong" Government, more and authoratitive one. And of course losing votes doesn't concern Prayut and Prawit as they weren't elected anyway and they have ways of finding votes if they need them!

as well as ignoring the outcome of any election so far

I can understand their frustration, but Marxist(Professors/Tutors)tutored students in America and the UK are being used and sponsored by evil, very wealthy people to do their dirty work, sponsoring mainly young people to riot(BLM/gullible young white people} and change democratically elected governments and take everything else back to hundreds of years ago,so that their ultra wealthy sponsors can eventually become the few masters and make even more billions, looks like their cash has arrived here as well.

Another brainwashed foreigner.

In what way am I brainwashed .

Prayrut made quick tough decisive decisions , Both Boris Johnson and Trump didnt want to upset the electorate and lose future votes .

BJ was more concerned about photo opportunities in hospitals and being seen as a Churchill type leader, rather than actually concentrating on  defeating the virus .

Prayruts concern was eliminating the virus , rather than getting voters support

"He also advised those planning to gather to follow related rules, including precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus"

What virus? The Coronavirus that the Government assure us is no longer here, and hasn't been here for 25 days? (Apart from the Egyptian soldier that this predominantly military Government let into the country without quarantine, and then let him go walkabout in Rayong?)

Or the virus that will spread hope amongst the people for a proper Democracy, and hope for the future, instead of a continual State of Emergency and  threat of imprisonment for disagreeing with the government?

If only they knew considering its not a democratic government they have done very well if you look at the state of so called 1st World countries that suck the blood in a form of taxes and Vat and are only declining in everyway,  in Thailand only a fraction pay taxes compared to the population so all in all it shows the people in power have done very well , atleast they have not done a BLM style protest and well done the people in power ????

humans are unique creatures. we are not satisfied with communism, democracy, dictatorship or for that matter with any system of government. where has man gone wrong?

Some people are naturally rebellious and appose everything that has authority and support all and every protest , as long as the protests are done by people of their political persuasion

Its not just the youth that want change there 2 old guys in my village ok outspoken drunks mostly but they take no prisoners when discussing an venting their anger against  government and "other " topics

Other Thias  try to avoid outright  agreeing or disagreeing on one topic but it makes for interesting listening

However prayuth and his government seem to be fair  game no one has a good word to say about them.. and this is yellow country

There are many FB  pages out there mouthing the undercurrent that's swelling.

Many of the cartoon clips and jpgs are about a certain watch and ring wearing person..

but the odds are still stacked steeply against them.

Why do people say things like that?

the fact is that ALL change in the world involves demonstations at some point and area valid and important part of the process.

Only a fool would expect a change to be immediate - what this does do is publicise that a significant part of the people are aware and unhappy with the current situation - it also signals to others that they are not alone in their dissatisfaction.

The government probably feels that this kind of protest is insignificant enough for them to ignore, however they can't exactly;y be regarded as experts on public opinion.

Either one or the other, depending who you believe, but the continued State of Emergency, and still having to adhere to all the Rules & Regs should give you a clue!

Is there still a state of emergency in Thailand ?

All the rules and regulations in regards to Corvid have been lifted in Thailand , everythings nearly back to complete normality  , the only reg still in place are heat testing in malls and some restaurants still have social distancing measures, apart from that , all back to normal

Also if Corona was rife in Thailand , the hospitals would be full of virus carrying people, which the hospitals are not
