Correct me if I'm wrong, but it isn't militia types destroying public property, is it? They have nothing to fear from this. The thugs should be scared though, and a good job too. Long overdue.

Investigators doing undercover work in community policing/ crime suppression. The FBI, DHS DOJ have never road around with big marking on their vehicles.

I suggest you acquaint yourself with the provisions of 40 U.S. Code 1315, which under the Homeland Security Act of 2002 gives the department’s secretary the power to deputize other federal agents to assist the Federal Protective Service in protecting federal property, such as the courthouse in Portland.
