Just a load of BS, did he kill the policeman? The Attorney general is an absolute disgrace, should hang his head in shame.

So how did the policeman die? Reversing into Boss's car at 170 kmph?

According to a Thai news report earlier this week, I think there's a woman with a new red-plate car who's got Pat. Pending on that one.

Just wishing him a collision with one of these speeding concrete mixers, to get the feeling.

Bunch of corrupted overfeed pigs... The whole lot.

Breaking news just in:
The entire fleet of police vehicles will get a stunning modern face lift month
as all vehicles will receive blue, silver, red and yellow designs ????

No news media seems to have asked why the charges have been dropped...

If you or I or any normal person fled Thailand to escape prosecution, that in itself would be a crime. Ignoring summons would be a crime.  Would it not?  But, not for the wealthy.
But "You, Little People!, shut up and get those masks on and don't question authority...move along!"  No double-standard here.

you spelled "muzzle" wrong ????

Well that's a relief, now that the police spokesman has delivered that statement I can continue to have faith in the Thai justice system knowing that Thailand is based on rule of law. ????

Nor will they.  "The Law" is too, too difficult for the commoners to understand and it's not the duty of the media to question "The Law", especially as it's applied to the filthy rich and obscenely wealthy...not to mention the 'connected.'
It's the news media role to make sure that the commoners understand that they need to wear masks and follow orders without questioning authorities and act subservient to their betters.

The concrete will probably flee the country.

Yes, even if you’re innocent of a crime, you can’t run away. It’s a crime in itself which you would be imprisoned for regardless of your eventual innocent verdict.

But, hey. As some members like to say, “This is Thailand. Who cares? Things will never change. The family were compensated”. And to them I’d like to quote a great tweet from a young Thai person:

”The scary thing about this is that it could happen to any of us. We could be hit by one of these people and die and no justices would be made. Our lives, as regular, normal commoners, are cheap as dirt”

I think my favourite loathsome comment about this whole saga was when a member was asked why the prosecutor dropped the charges, to which he replied “Because they can. This is Thailand”

Ah, the small-minded bigotry of low expectation.

The arrest warrant against Vorayuth will also be revoked and police will coordinate with Interpol to do the same.

Next time Thailand asks Interpol for anything I hope Interpol tells them where to go

Surely the one who supplied the Funds for someone who couldn't pass the Test to work in 7/11 is part of this.

Money talks BS walks in every country - get used to it boys and girls. Whining about Thailand being just as corrupt as the USA, Europe etc won't help much.

At least Thailand does not hide the corruption behind the lying media like the west does.

I see it comes equipped with a ground-to-air escape attachment at the rear, as recommended by some Ferrari owners.

Well of course there is no double standard....TIT....just a triple standard and a size LARGE brown envelope....????????????????????????????????????????????????????

"No double standards in":

- Thonglor Police Col rushing to Red Calf's residence to advise on legalities

- having a household staff pretend to be the driver

- dragging their feet to serve charges until the Red Calf could flee the country

- mixing up, delaying, misunderstanding Interpol arrest requirements and form translations for years

I think the only standard that really mattered was the generous donation to the Police Standard Improvement Fund. No double standard in that just regular SOP.

He doesn't even bother to give an explanation as to why the charges were dropped. Just saying its not a double standard but not explaining why. What a shame.

drunk driving kills many innocent ppl each year. to decide NOT to punish a drunk hit and run driver is a slap in the face of ppl who lost loved ones to reckless drunk drivers.

this is a bad day for Thailand.

unfortunately its not unique for Thailand. even the usa protects a hit and run driver who is responsible for a deadly accident. a grieving uk family will not see justice.

Whatta' crock!

Vorayuth allegedly crashed his Ferrari into a policeman

djees, he even tried to blame it on slave labour before

so, you have money, you don't appear to summons, you flee the country for a few years, you are not on interpol database and come back as if nothing ever happened

should they release all the poor criminals too now ?

Possibly as the parents decided not to pursue charges the prosecutor has been unable to find a loophole to continue withe the charade and decided to call it quits.

Yep, I'm sure the Shinawatra's are having a good old laugh at that heading.

You never know, to balance things out and to appease the masses, tomorrow's headline might just read that the PM has now agreed to drop all charges relating to the Shinawatra's and that they are now welcome to return to Thailand.........well, we know that ain't going to happen, don't we.

Not happen.Because they would have to give him  money back.

It’s BULL alright but not red.

Interpol : Oh, So you have new charges?

Thai A.G. : Errrr, No

Interpol : Ah, He has pleaded guilty and is coming back soon?

Thai A.G. Errrr, No

Interpol : You have new witnesses come forward

Thai A.G. : Errrr, No

Interpol : Ok then, what?

Thai A.G. : Well, it was all just a big misunderstanding..............
